On February 16, 2021 the Pokémon TCG Online was updated to version 2.77. Changes in this version include:

  • Added support for the Pokémon TCG: Shining Fates expansion. This expansion will be available in the game on February 19 and will be legal for use in tournaments starting March 5. Shining Fates booster packs will not be available in the Shop.
  • Alolan Raichu (TK #17, 30, BSP SM65): The Electric Surfer attack name is now consistently localized in the French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese game clients.
  • Armored Mewtwo (BSP SM228): This card's name is now consistently localized in the French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese game clients.
  • Espeon (DEX #48): While Solar Revelation is active, attaching a Special Energy card with a coming into play effect from the hand to one of your Pokémon should no longer cause that effect to resolve twice.
  • Galarian Mr. Rime (RCL #038): While Screen Cleaner is active, attaching a Special Energy card with a coming into play effect from the hand to one of your Pokémon should no longer cause that effect to resolve twice.
  • Glimwood Tangle (DAA #162): This card now functions properly with Pokémon that have the Omega Barrage Ancient Trait.
  • Greninja-GX (BSP SM197): This card's Ability and attack button text is now properly localized in the French game client.
  • Incineroar V (CPA #008): Expanded View no longer shows that Incineroar V can be evolved into Cranidos (UPR #64) and then Rampardos (UPR #65).
  • Karrablast (DAA #008): Continuous Headbutt now properly triggers a coin flip.
  • Lillie's Poké Doll (CEC #196, 267): This card's name is now consistently localized in the French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese game clients.
  • Magearna-EX (STS #75, 110, BSP XY175): While Mystic Heart is active, attaching a Special Energy card with a coming into play effect from the hand to one of your Pokémon should no longer cause that effect to resolve twice.
  • Smeargle (UD #8, CL #21): Removing Smeargle from play after using Portrait to copy a Supporter that puts a persistent effect on one or both players should no longer cause that effect to end immediately.
  • Wishiwashi (CEC #62, 240): Wishiwashi should no longer become Knocked Out when Scatter triggers while it has 18 or more damage counters on it and a card is attached that increases its maximum HP.
  • Screen name changes are now consistently reflected in the Friends list.
