CURRENT STANDARD META DECKS and LISTS?

Been looking for that article that usually posts on the main Pokémon site the current meta deck lists, but I'm either blind or there's not been one due to "old Rona" (Covid), I've seen posts, with people naming some of those decks, but not with a decklist, I would really appreciate if someone could help, as atm opening standard packs blindly, and since i have a lot of Expanded packs, I'd like to actually see what I would really like to open / trade for (long time player but back after 4 years)

Many Thanks

3 Giant Hearth UNM 197

Energy - 12
8 Fire Energy 2
4 Horror Psychic Energy RCL 172

Tier 3 Decks:

These are decks that are mainly here because they are either very situational, or lost a lot of stuff to rotation.

Pikachu & Zekrom GX:

I wouldn't recommend playing this. It dominated the TCG before rotation, and after rotation, is just a shell of its formal self. I couldn't find a post-rotation deck list for this.

Decidueye Obstagoon:

This is a blocking deck that relies on 2 stage twos. That is why it is where it is. And this is coming from somebody who's been maining Decidueye/Obstagoon since it came out.

Spoiler

Pokemon - 16
3 Rowlet CEC 17
1 Dartrix DAA 12
3 Decidueye DAA 13
2 **********igzagoon SSH 117
2 Galarian Obstagoon SSH 119
4 Jirachi TEU 99
1 Oranguru SSH 148

Trainer - 34
4 Professor's Research SSH 178
4 Marnie SSH 169
3 Rosa CEC 204
4 Quick Ball SSH 179
4 Pokémon Communication TEU 152
4 Rare Candy SSH 180
4 Scoop Up Net RCL 165
3 Switch SSH 183
2 Ordinary Rod SSH 171
1 Turffield Stadium RCL 170
1 Viridian Forest TEU 156

Energy - 10
4 Grass Energy 1
4 Darkness Energy 7
2 Aurora Energy SSH 186

This might be outdated, due to it not including Vivid Voltage decks that haven't had the chance to be in a tournament, such as Whimsicott, but it is better than nothing. Hope I helped!

Stamp is only banned in Expanded. Also I'm stupid, solgaleo is rotated out. I'll replace solgaleo with Victini V(SSH).

then they really need to fix that issue with always assuming it's an expanded deck if you have the original card which is still legal, and not the reprint . Thanks for changing that i was superconfused on the Solgaleo as it wasn't listed anywhere on the ban lists XD

Many thanks nonetheless

You're welcome. :)  They do make it hard to find, so I bookmarked it.

That's very helpful thanks, but they used to have someone write up an article going through them I'd assume analysing the deck entries and wins across deck types. but that was a long time ago, so i was going through the articles, but was coming up short. I mean they may have stopped that since I last played

Lickilicky is great imo!

Spoiler

4 Lickitung UNM 161
4 Lickilicky UNM 162
1 Oranguru SSH 148
1 Snorlax VIV 131
1 Crobat V DAA 104
1 Tapu Koko Prism Star TEU 51
1 Zacian V SSH 138
1 Mewtwo UNB 75
1 Oricorio-GX CEC 95

4 Marnie CPA 56
4 Professor's Research CPA 62
2 Boss's Orders RCL 154
2 Team Yell Grunt CPA 67
4 Crushing Hammer SSH 159
4 Quick Ball SSH 179
4 Scoop Up Net RCL 165
4 Switch SSH 183

1 Ordinary Rod SSH 171

4 Twin Energy RCL 174
4 Capture Energy RCL 171
4 Triple Acceleration Energy UNB 190
2 Lightning Energy 4

Obviously not the top deck, squiderp12 did a great job of outlining those, but a deck that can make your opponent's life hard, which is fun!

Another deck of top level competition I would add to squiderp's list is Lucario & Melmetal GX/Zacian V. It requires skill, but rewards greatly those with just that.

Spoiler

4 Zacian V SSH 138
2 Lucario & Melmetal-GX UNB 120
2 Zamazenta V SSH 139

4 Marnie CPA 56
3 Boss's Orders RCL 154
3 Professor's Research CPA 62
2 Mallow & Lana CEC 198
1 Cynthia & Caitlin CEC 189
4 Metal Saucer SSH 170
4 Crushing Hammer SSH 159
4 Switch SSH 183
4 Quick Ball SSH 179
2 Lillie's Poké Doll CEC 197
1 Tool Scrapper RCL 168
1 Tag Call CEC 206
4 Metal Goggles TEU 148
1 Chaotic Swell CEC 187

10 Metal Energy 8
4 Coating Metal Energy VIV 163

Enjoy!

Uh... I think you're giving a very charitable description of the articles they provided. ;)

Still, you are correct, I did not provide you a link to them.  I don't know if I just missed them, or if they're actually gone.  Sorry!

I'm usually more concerned with the list being easy to import.  Building something and playing it yourself is a good way to learn it.  For analysis, you may have to rely on unofficial sources.

I thought I'd already been a bit harsh to the Pokémon company in a different thread today, so I thought I'd be magnanimous on this one.

P.S. I just found it my eyes were not looking for "Player Cup" as i had no clue those had anything to do with TCG (they didn't exist pre covid I'm pretty sure) but your link helped my eyes see it!

Right, the first Players Cup basically served as a substitute for Worlds.

Also, good find!  I don't have time to read it now, but yes, this looks like one of the better articles. I also need to be careful; what I was getting at wasn't that the articles were poorly written, but that they are sometimes cover non-competitive decks.  Like "Hey, isn't this interesting!".  Which is sometimes a very appropriate topic, but not when you're looking for a quick guide on the metagame. ;)

Do you play Lickilicky? I might have to build it. I've raged at least 3 times against that deck. :D

Yeah, LucaMetal is very good, but the only lists I could find was not post-rotation, and I was too lazy to search through a website to find one.
