Why are the "Type Effect" Eeveelutions in the starter decks?

The Born of Fire, Crushing Current, and Hidden Depths decks each contain 3 Ancient Origin's Eevee and 1 Eeveelution of the appropriate type from Ancient Origins. (That would be Flareon in Born of Fire, Jolteon in Crushing Current, and Vaporeon in Hidden Depths) Each of those Eeveelutions has an ability that adds the type of the Eeveelution to all Stage 1 Pokémon on the user's side of the board. But Born of Fire and Hidden Depths have only a single Stage 1 that isn't the type of the deck normally, making the abilities of the Eeveelutions rather useless unless there is a type challenge to meet. Crushing Current has two Stage 1 Pokémon that can be affected by Electric Effect, so it's slightly more useful.

I understand why Eevee are in each of the decks, since it is a popular Pokémon that can be put in any deck, but why are Ancient Origins Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon in these three decks instead of Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Flareon from earlier or later sets that would have more use in these decks?
