i think i can settle this

this is what it would say if it prevented all damage from GX pokemon: As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, prevent all effects of your opponents attacks, including damage, done to your Pokemon by gx pokemon

or at least something like this.

this is what ius says when it only prevents GX attacks: As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, prevent all effects of your opponent's GX attacks, including damage, done to your Pokemon.

i get where u r comin from @0ThePokemonKing. i too had the same question but i realised what it meant. if it says GX attacks it mean the special once per turn attacks. if it say attacks of GX pokemon then it means  damage done by all GX pokemon attacks.

As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, prevent all effects of your opponent's GX attacks, including damage, done to your Pokemon.

The card is broken because you just put attack before the GX. All effects and damage it says. GX pokemon attacks are all OP and even their once per turn attacks. Because Celesteela's wording is all and not only, Celesteela is good against opponents GX pokemon because they can't damage Celesteela in anyway because of her ability "Force Canceler" just the name of this ability speaks for itself

the card is not broken it works exactly how it is desired

Do you do the wording of this card, If Celesteela's abilty says 'All' why is there a quantity of this abilty if what you say it 'only' affects the special gx attack? You ************* undestand what these ability says and No offense but the problem is the wording of Celesteela's abilty and it's name FORCE CANCELLER! Just accept the fate of Celesteela's true abilty that I'm unlocking by explaining what "All', 'Only' and '1, 2, or 3 GX attacks from your opponent's pokemon" truly means and defined

As long as this Pokemon is your Active Pokemon, prevent all effects of your opponent's GX attacks, including damage, done to your Pokemon.

It says "...prevent all effects of...."

It does not say "...all attacks..." anywhere.

In any case, I'm done with this thread.

It does say "...GX attacks (with an (s)..." right there!.

Are you blind??

Stop reading the Force Canceller abilty part by part,  read it as a whole sentence and you have to unleash this pokemon's true Ability as i said that all GX Pokemon attacks with GX attacks for being a GX Pokemon.

It protects against GX attacks, not against pokemon GX's attacks.

Moreover, pokemon non GX may have a GX attack, thanks to a tool.

The card works as written.

This thread should closed already, you're the only one that misunderstood the card there's no bug or glitch in here, the card is working as intended, it prevents the effects and damage from GX attacks that can be used once per game so the other normal attacks from your GX pokémon will bypass the ability because it's not a GX attack (wich is a special technique every GX pokémon have and can be used once per game). It's equivalent to Z-moves from pokémon games which also can only be used once per game and Celesteela can block in the TCG. C'mon it's not that hard to understand this.

If the ability blocked all effecs and attacks from GX pokémon the card would be way better and expensive and people would seek for this card and play it competitively but that's not the case because it only prevents/blocks "Z-moves" (GX attacks). It's quite easy to understand this if i may say.

Here's the final word on this thread: Force Canceler is working as intended.

Pokémon TCG rulebook, Appendix D: Pokémon-GX:

Quote

Pokémon-GX are powerful Pokémon with more HP and stronger attacks. Each one also has a super-powerful GX attack. You can’t use more than one GX attack during an entire game, regardless of how many Pokémon-GX you play. Make sure you use that GX attack at the right strategic moment, because you only get one shot! The damage counter sheet includes a special GX marker to keep track of this—turn it face down once you’ve used up your GX attack for the game.

GX attack.png

Pokémon TCG rulebook, Glossary:

Quote

GX ATTACK: A powerful kind of attack. Only Pokémon-GX have GX attacks. A player can’t use more than one GX attack in a game.

Essentially, the GX symbol has to be present in the attack's name for it to be considered a 'GX attack'. If Force Canceler were intended to prevent damage and effects of both GX and non-GX attacks from your opponent's Pokémon-GX it would be worded like Keldeo-GX's Pure Heart Ability.

Quote

Ability - Pure Heart
Prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokémon by your opponent's Pokémon-GX or Pokémon-EX.
