[GENERAL] download link not working

my download link is not working my computer meets all requirements but when I press on the download link it only comes up with a lot of work and stuff I don't know can I have some help please

I don't know how many months this has been broken, but the download link for Windows doesn't work properly.  Their server is sending the wrong MIME code for Internet Explorer and Edge.  Instead of the executable file, these browsers see it as a web page (html), which is why it looks like gobbledygook (code).  It's an easy fix if someone who handles the AWS server would just look at it.

 

**  In case it's not obvious, this is a pet peeve of mine, and I've mentioned it several times.  For the life of me, I can't figure out why they make it difficult for new players to download the Windows app with the native built-in browsers.  What business keeps their front door locked, and expects customers to know the back is open?

 

The solution however is to use an alternate browser, such as Chrome or Firefox.

Please try the download link out the way the fellow player RobRatt advises as by using another browser, both Chrome and Firefox are good alternatives.
