Couldn't seem to play Cyrus. I'd satisfied the conditions my active pokemon was Vaporeon GX, the opponent had 2 pokemon on the bench, there is no mention of the opponent having a minimum number of benched pokemon. I could play any of my other supporter cards. I have a screenshot but it seems we aren't allowed to post them which is very unhelpful. The screenshot is more useful than the game log in this case.

The opponent must have 3 or more benched pokemons if you want to play Cyrus.

I wondered if that was the case but nothing on the text indicates that 3 on the bench is a requirement. Is there an official ruling somewhere that clarifies this?

For example I can use Guzma without having any benched pokemon, despite the card saying I shall switch my active pokemon with a benched pokemon. So letting the opponent choose 2 doesn't seem a hard requirement unless this has be ruled on in the league or the quarterly rules updates.

its always been like this, you cannot play a supporter card for no effect. only exception to this rule is if there is another condition on the field that is neglecting your supporters effect, if this is the case then you can play the supporter and nothing will happen except that you use the supporter for turn.

in your case, your opponent has 2 pokemons on bench, the card states that they choose 2 pokemon and shuffle the rest into deck, since they only have 2 pokemons on bench they wouldnt shuffle any into deck and this means that cyrus is doing nothing, so thats why you cant play it.

Hey @curiousynthetic,

Cyrus states that "Your opponent chooses 2 Benched Pokémon and shuffles the others, and all cards attached to them, into their deck."

Your opponent is required to pick 2 Pokémon they want to keep on their bench, and then shuffle the rest and all cards attached into their deck. If your opponent has 2 or less Pokémon on their bench,  Cyrus cannot be played as there are not any additional Pokémon on the opponents bench which could be shuffled into their deck.

Ah thanks Turtle. I must be tired, I didn't notice that part of the text at all until you put it up in bold, or maybe I was looking at the shiny prism which transitions over that part of the sentence. I understand now, not a bug please close thread.
