Decidueye GX vs Hoopa SL 55/73

I know I have done one with Marshadow GX vs Alolan Ninetales but now I came across the same issue with Decidueye GX vs Hoopa from SL 55/73 that has the Scoundrel Guard which is basically the same ability Alolan Ninetales has which states " Prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokémon by your opponent's Pokémon-GX and Pokémon-EX. "

So shouldn't it stop decidueye's effect that hits for 20hp since you know he's a GX and all? The guy killed both my Hoopas with that ability as he had multiple decidueye gx's on bench and active.

It says attacks. The ability doesn't block other pokemon's abilities or anything. It only blocks the attacks of your opponent's GX pokemon. That should make it clear why he was able to knock out both of your pokemon :)

Hello @harshu,

Thanks I just assumed it meant everything damage wise including abilities seeing as it also blocks damage from EX/GX Pokemon wearing rocky helmet.
