New prize card selection thing

When you kill an EX or GX you now have to wait in between prize card selecting to choose more than one. For instance I killed a team up and have to wait for the cards to go back down and then come back up so I can select my second card and then again for the 3rd card.  So is that a bug which will be fixed by next patch or here to stay?

I don't know if this is the right place; not sure if this is a bug or intentional.

Taking prizes has changed so that each prize is flipped before a subsequent prize is taken. For GX and TagTeam defeats this makes for EXCEPTIONALLY slow and frustrating gameplay. Even if the winning blow requires 2 or more prizes to be taken, it still forces each card to be 'flipped' before a new prize is selected.

Why was this slow, terrible choice in game play made in the latest update? What was wrong with the previous way of multiple choices then flips?

Please tell me this is a bug. I hate this with a passion and by the looks of it, so does everyone in the subreddit.

I can only surmise that this may be due to cards that have an effect if drawn as prizes, but it sounds like it needs further improvement.

If they wanted to reveal each card as it was drawn, it should have been done by flipping the card within the selection interface.

Today, when I beat the last Pokemon of my oponent, I had to choose a prize card...

Before, the game automaticaly finish the game since the oponent has no pokemon left.

The game is indeed a bit slower, sometimes

And as far as I'm concerned - I think it's linked - when I kill the last pokemon of my oponent, I had to choose a prize card, even if the oponent has non pokemon left.

It's not so bad, tough, just a little slower.

It's probably done because of cards that let you know which prize is which. For instance, you know the top-left prize is a Raichu. You don't want it at the moment, so when you KO a Tag Team, you pick another prize. But that prize turns out to be Pikachu, so this may change everything and you now may want that Raichu. This is consistent to how the TCG works in real-life, where you pick 1 prize at a time.

If this is in fact the case, then it should be fixed/reverted asap. There is no reason to slow down the game like this. I sincerely doubt anyone will find this to be a positive change (regardless of whether this is a bug or intentional).

I saw it yesterday late and is very weird. Killing an EX, getting one prize, then another prize. First second I was like crazy thinking what was in play limiting the prizes being able to just pick one card and these returning to prizes place. Immediately the picking screen came again. But it was weird at every EX KO happened. I didn't thought it was a bug or a new feature from the update (dumb me).

Although it's not important how to pick the prizes, I agree with the trainers above, it's weird not getting all prizes at one and slows the game so, if could be reverted to prior state, we would celebrate.

Edit: OK, It's important how to pick the prizes, and it's weird because were used to do it all at once, but I found why is better now (and it's in my next post, down). This doesn't mean it's also slower and I agree slower is worse, and still can be improved. Suggestion also down.

This have all the sense of the world! (💙 for it!)

But the new mode could be improved, flipping the card you pick in the same 6 prize screen without going to your hand so, pick 1, it flips, pick second, it flips (so at second you can choose if you wanted that Raichu seeing the first), pick 3rd, flips... no need of returning to Prize pile to pop up the picking screen again to return, to pop up... We are complaining for 2 prizes, imagine .. 4 or 5 prize cards at a time (BuzzMosa)... 😅

Hello there,

Thank you all for taking the time to send us your feedback.

After some testing I saw that the game was slowed down the way you explain, so that I've gone ahead and passed this along to the development team for their review.

Hope this helps!

For an unknown reason can't edit previous post to add the next so, new one

OK, checking the other thread about this same issue, I found the reasonable fact that makes this change on prize picking, better than it was before.

So indeed prizes choice is better now BUT the new mode could be improved and speeded flipping the card you pick in the same 6 prize screen without going to your hand so, pick 1, it flips, pick second, it flips (so at second you can choose if you wanted that other card you knew what prize is, having seen the first), pick 3rd, flips... no need of returning to Prize "pile" to pop up the picking screen again to return, to pop up. A 'View game board' button would be welcome to check bench, discard pile and cards in play while choosing.
