cards [GAME BUG} Seismetoad-EX

I was playing in EXP. 

Quaking punch was in effect - Seismetoad-EX was active, on his bench was a garbotoxin with float stone attached and a Shaymin. the stadium was Virbank city placed by my opponent.

I had a Ubb Dugtrio with a choice band in the active and a Jirachi with escape board on the bench

although there were no other effects in place, I was locked out of all trainers. I couldn't play either supporters or stadium cards from my hand.

I can confirm this as a bug. The bug affects all Pokemon whose attacks have an item-locking effect: Seismitoad-EX FFI, Luxio ULP, Dragonite PLF, Zebstrika NXD, and Noivern-GX BUS. Whenever the item-locking attack in question is used, it locks the opponent from playing any form of trainer card from their hand; items, supporters, etc. As this can be done on turn 1 and heavily affects gameplay in both the standard and expanded formats, I would recommend a temporary ban to the cards listed above until a patch can be applied to where the intended effect occurs of only item-locking. Cards which item lock through abilities such as Trevenant XY behave as intended, as well as cards with similar effects such as supporter lock in the case of Exeggutor PLF 5.

Just played another game against a seismitoad, it's 100% bugged.  easy wins for those guys

Same bug for me -- terrible.  Seismitoad should be immediately banned until it gets fixed.  I just lost what should have been an easy win for me and I had a 12 game winning streak......much sad.

this is such a toxic bug -- expanded is pretty broken right now.  I'm done playing for the time being until they ban the cards while a fix is made.

also noivern GX got some problem vs another guy cant play supporter only energy  i take screen shot same

This is a big deal, this breaks the game! Please, someone ban Seismitoad-EX until they fix this bug.
I love play in expanded but right now is unfairly difficult.

I can also confirm this bug. Any item lock or supporter lock cards prevents all TRAINER cards from being played from the hand, instead of the intended effect.

Wow thats a big deal, its not just seismetoad either.

This should really be banned like Beast Energy is banned right now. Expanded is full of people using Seismitoad EX to exploit the bug and it's incredibly not fair to anyone else. Just please, ban it and other Item Lock cards until you can fix this bug.

I have been grinding the vs ladder today and encountered  seismitoad ex deck three times and each time when he  uses quaking punch it also locked my supporters  while on the card it is stated that "YOUR OPPONENT CANT PLAY ANY ITEM CARDS FROM HIS OR HER HAND DURING HIS OR HER NEXT TURN" !

it would be appreciated if you fix this game bug as soon as possible.

There is currently a bug that is on the "Known Bugs" list that says item locking pokemon lock ALL trainers, not just item ************ such as Seismitoad, Luxio, and Noivern-GX can all completely lock you out of the entire game. While many other toxic decks in the past had counters (Pre-ban shiftry could be countered by playing a Baltoy) the only counter to this deck is playing it yourself. This compounds the problem, and more and more people just end up playing Seismitoad/Garbodor as playing anything else would result in a loss.

 

This bug has completely ruined the expanded format - why aren't cards that can take advantage of it banned until the problem gets solved?

Unfortunately any effects of attacks that stop items (item lock) are incorrectly preventing all Trainer cards from being played. This has been added to the known issues list and hopefully a fix is issued soon.

The biggest problem is the people KNOW about this problem and now they make Seismitoad-EX decks to sploit the situation. Man, is about 1 Seismitoad-EX in 3 decks after the update and I don't believe this is pure coincidence.

It's already under the known issues and people are exploiting it. If you know about it why hasn't it been banned? 

 

TPCi logic, Beast Energy can be exploited but not Seismitoad.

Why not just ban Seismitoad EX then? If you ban Beast Energy for a bug such as that surely Seismitoad, which is MUCH more game breaking, should be banned as well.
