I'm excited to see what new features the games have in store for us this time. That and the new Pokemon are always what I look forward to most in the build-up to a new generation.

I hope we'll get to see some new Pokémon. That's always the most exciting part of a new game for me. I still need help deciding on my starter so maybe we'll get to see their evolutions! Just one more day to go! 😁

First and most importantly, we have a release date for the games - November 15th! It'll be releasing on that date worldwide. Some other info revealed in today's trailer:

 

New Pokemon

• Gossifleur - Grass-type Flowering Pokemon. Its pollen has a healing effect and it travels over long distances by getting blown along with the wind.
• Eldegoss - Grass-type Cotton Bloom Pokemon that evolves from Gossifleur. Its cotton puff protects it from enemies and the tiny seeds attached to it are highly nutritious to both humans and Pokemon.
• Wooloo - Normal-type Sheep Pokemon. It's a friendly Pokemon that craves stability and has an extremely fluffy body.
• Corviknight - Flying/Steel-type Raven Pokemon. As the dashing lord of the skies, you can use them as a flying taxi to travel from town to town.
• Drednaw - Water/Rock-type Bite Pokemon. It has powerful jaws and muscles that put a trainer's skills and morals to the test.
• Zacian - Box legendary of Sword. Its shining blade can cut through anything and attacks gracefully.
• Zamazenta - Box legendary of Shield. Its gleaming shield can turn back any attack with regal and majestic movements that overwhelm opponents.

 

New People

• Leon - Champion of the Galar region.
• Hop - Your rival and Leon's younger brother.
• Professor Magnolia - Pokemon Professor of the Galar region.
• Sonia - Professor Magnolia's granddaughter and assistant, as well as Leon's childhood friend.
• Milo - Grass-type gym leader of the Galar region.

 

New Features

• Wild Area - A vast expanse of Galar that holds different Pokemon depending on the day, weather, or location.
• Dynamax Pokemon - New giant form of Pokemon that intensely boosts a Pokemon's power and lets them use special Max Moves. It can be activated once per battle and lasts for 3 turns.
• Max Raid Battles - Connect with people around the world to face and possibly capture wild Dynamax Pokemon, which stay in their Dynamax form the entire battle. Only one trainer per battle can use their own Dynamax Pokemon. Some Pokemon will only be able to be caught through these battles.
• Rotom Phone - The Pokedex of the region. You can attach it to your bike to let it travel faster or travel over water.

The latest Pokémon Direct had some amazing announcements for the upcoming Pokémon Sword & Pokémon Shield games! 
 

It looks like we now have a release date set for November 15, 2019, a new feature called Dynamax, & 2 new Legendary Pokémon to learn about!

 

Which new Legendary Pokémon are most hyped to have on your team? Zacian or Zamazenta?

What do you think about the new Dynamax feature?

@Lugia2450 I have merged your topic with the existing discussion thread for the Pokémon Direct. 

 

I love Eldegoss and Wooloo! Based on the Legendary Pokémon, I believe I will be going with Zacian. 

 

Overall, I think there were some very interesting and exciting features that were showcased and I can't wait for the game to be released!

I suppose there are similarities, but I think they are different enough! Personally, at first glance, Eldegoss reminds me very much of a dandelion in the seed phase, whereas Whimsicott looks a bit like a ram. I am sure the abilities will be different, as well.
