Value of "holo" energies

Noob here.

I had 8 special fighting energy from Marshadow GX tin.

I don't know if they are technically "holo". They don't have the golden border, but of course they are very different from the basic one.

I cannot find any reference for them.

I have always increased the request, the last one I gave for one Ditto {*} LOT 154, so I would say approximately half unbroken bonds booster pack value.

Then I got a grass energy of the same type, but it seems it doesn't have the same appeal.

Can anyone give me an idea of the value of these special energies? For all the types?

I think they haven't any special playing value, so it's only for collection purpose?

These are Reverse Foils of Basic Energy, much like the reverse foils (of each card) in regular sets.  They're not overly special, or expensive.  Like you've mentioned, they may have collector's value for certain players, or for players who like to "bling out" their deck (and can't afford the Secret Rare versions).

 

Most of them come from Promo Tins, which include a 60-card deck.  That deck comes with a tradable EX/GX and (usually) six of the reverse foil Energy that are also tradable.  Other sources for these Energy are Battle Arena decks, etc.

 

If I had to put a price on them, I'd say they were closer to 0.25 value each.  Everything is subjective though.  They're worth whatever you say they are.  If memory serves, the SM-style Water Energy is worth a bit more, because it comes from Shining Legends, and is harder to find.
