I have used relentless flame as my grinder in theme. I tried the the next theme decks , however the lack of ball search hurt them so much I have switch back back in team up theme deck. This deck is best theme deck in the format right now as of this writing. I have joined in 2015 when ancient origins was newest set. I also have expanded decks but I have rarely use theme in expadned vs ladder.

I really did join in 2015. I posted forums only a year later.

There has been debate over which of the two recent fire decks is better, but it is agreed that they are the best. People will play water hoping to beat them, making that #3.

I'm not sure how this is Game Feedback?

The Dev Team cannot control what is in the official Theme Decks.

For the record, I don't think Relentless Flame was the best Theme Deck; Blazing Volcano seems better to me.  However, if you're just grinding and not worried about your Win Streak, then Relentless Flame is better.  Simply put, when you get Charizard out fast you're almost guaranteed the win, but the deck seems just a bit worse about bricking than Blazing Volcano.

As for the two latest decks, they seem to be better than Torrential Cannon but no better than (and possibly worse) than Relentless Flame.  Lillie isn't a good fit for Battle Mind, because your hand will rarely be low enough to use it well (if at all).  The lack of Pokémon search also hurts, but it has enough draw power to offset it.  I am enjoying Lightning Loop, but it is almost the [L] version of Relentless Flame.  Almost.  Charizard tends to use Nidoqueen to help with setup, then it accelerates Energy to itself.  Zeraora needs Magnezone to accelerate Energy to it but relies on just draw power for setting up.

I haven't tested the zeraora, but my thoughts about mewtwo deck are:

-It clogs really easily compared to entei/charizard decks. It feels like designers were about to finish creating the list, then realized it's nearly weekend and decided to put in 4 haus and 2 lookers. And 2 fishermans apparently.

-meowth is nice recall to farfetch'd that the both team up decks had, but unfortunately does job far worse. Having 20 less hp really feels and jamming with sleep doesn't make things any better.

-Having 5 psychic energies dedicated only to mewtwo isn't helping consistency either.

However, it has some glorious moments:

-Pulling 150 damage with turtonator+welder knocks out nearly everything other theme decks have

-Incineroar giving buff helps to hit nice numbers and is surprisingly good attacker itself

-darmanitan is also hitting quite fast and hard actually

-salazzle in theme deck is really nice

-Mewtwo and welder have really nice synergy

Simply put:

It has really nice idea but too heavy hau, fisherman and looker line really weight down its potential.  That being said, the deck having duo salazzle, duo welder, duo turtonator, duo lillie and duo cynthia alone make it really worthy buy, if not for specifically for theme format that is.

After not going to sleep for 4 days, I am well now. I am skilled enough that I usually beat blazing volcano at all cost. I think I have a 40 to 50% win rate against them.
