[GENERAL] Other - How do I unlock trade locked cards and packs?

i have a few cards i want to trade but i can seem to unlock them, they are trade locked and wont let me unlock them, i really need them unlocked to trade, plz help me, i am fairly new to the online card game, so plz dont go getting up at me over something small,

Hello kodaking welcome to the forums. Unfortunately trade locked cards can never be traded to other players. Cards obtained from trade locked packs will also be trade locked.

Here's the basics.  Hope it helps.

 

If packs are tradable in the game, the cards within them are tradable too.  If the packs are trade-locked, so are the cards inside.

 

To get tradable packs and cards, they need to come from sources such as these:

 

...Redeemed Code Cards (from real-world products)

...Prizes won in Events/Tournaments (in the game)

...The Knockout Challenge after Level 16

 

Anything that's earned as a freebie in the game gives trade-locked packs (and cards).  You can't trade packs (or cards) earned on the VS Ladder, in the Trainer Challenge, bought with Tokens in the game's Shop, or from the Daily Login bonus.

 

The only thing that's tradable from the game's Shop are the Pikachu Avatar boxes.

 

NOTE:  If you currently have any of your cards or packs listed in a trade, either Public or private, they also show up as trade-locked (which is where the term originated).  You'll need to cancel those trades to free them up.

Welcome to the forum! Please be sure to check out the forum rules here regarding posting in older threads. As for your question, packs/cards that are trade locked cannot be unlocked. You can check out RobRatt's response above on how to obtain tradable packs. Hope that helps!

Redeemed Code Cards from real world products are showing they are trade locked? any advice as these came from card packs I purchased from the card show.
