whats your take on the 2 new decks in shop

I got both today tried them out and i have to say there kind of errrr.

Wile the mewtwo deck seem to be around getting out incineroar for the +30 and Salandit for getting more cards out at the cost of 1 fire energy

wile this deck is great for getting u many cards fast  that would be a + but sadly a lot of the played decks also have  the one card that lest them discard and draw the same amount as u so this can very easly set up the other side for a easy win.

wile the other deck Zeraora  has  good attack all most every good attack  can only be used every other turn.

wile  and dodrio seem to have a good set up imo its the only truely good card in this deck with stunfisk in 2nd

All the pokemon in this deck have a 0-2 retreat cost for setting up stunfisk it seem to be what the deck pushes for rather thin zeraora.

Now wile zeraora can only shine if u have a lot of energy and magnezone out .

I think theres to much discard  all /some energy from your pokemons in both decks

So what did u guys think of the 2 new decks ?

The idea of the decks is to recycle energy to attach a bunch of them (Welder and recycling that with Mewtwo, and Magnezone). The obvious problem is that the decks are too lacking in ways to fetch the required energy for this (and 2x Welder without fetching just doesn't do the trick: plenty of games where you'll never see it in your hand). 2x Fisherman just doesn't do the job, and Darmanitan's first attack is too slow (and you can't even combo it with Mewtwo returning Welder because the deck gets shuffled, meaning you have to wait until next turn, and then only the turn AFTER that next turn can you finally attach the energy). The result is that Darmanitan, Turtonator and Zeraora just don't work, and the rest is pretty average.

A step backwards. Worse than last ones.

A priori they don't look too good. I got it and taken a look but didn't play yet. Either way, a lot of mixed with FLi pokémon in the Lighting one. Psy/Fire looks better in this part having only a couple DRM cards in it which indeed, is pretty decent as it's a set not available to win/buy in game.

The trainers core is so sad tho that no one can be happy. All of the trainers from both decks but a couple Welder in "the good one" are from past sets. Theme decks lack of strategy/consistency/support enough to be good in general so if the goal of the Themes is not to give some cards from the set they belong AKA the new/last one, what is they raison d'être...?

Maybe talking too fast as I haven't tried yet how they work in play but I think the Fire era and the Water counters will continue some more months in the top tier of Theme playing.

Let us make this a bit easier; I'll share my own experiences with the decks once I've have more time to use them, but how about a reference for those who need it?
