What are some ways that I can get packs?

Hey guys, I made some bad trades. I traded some cards that I shouldn't have and I am now stuck with nothing but my trusty Volcanion deck which still wins 60% of my games by the way.

Anyway, Do you guys know how I can use my remaining resources to gain packs?

I mean no offence by asking for help. I feel that every player gets stuck in this spot at least once.

If you have an abundance of tickets: use events. They give tradable packs if you win at least one game I think.

Also, the 16 KO challenges give tradable packs, again though I’m not sure.

And if you want to spend money, buy codes.

Depends what you have.

Look for high wanted cards (PikaRom, Zapdos, CeleSaur, Zoroark, Lele GX...). Check prizes for want. You'll know public prize. Then check what people gives for it.

Example:

People wants 9 TEU for Lele GX RA. People gives 7 TEU for Lele GX RA. You can offer 7 packs and something else. A nice trainer, a couple random pokémon... whatever. Or offer 7 TEU+1LOT, or 7 TEU+1ROS. If doesn't work, offer 8 TEU maybe.

Then try to sell it for 9. Wait! That's same offer as everyone, if there are a lot yours can be gotten or not, randomly. Ok, then go below them to be sure your offer will be the chosen one: Ask for 8TEU+1LOT. Or 8TEU+1GUR or 8 TEU+ a Mystery treasure for example. Or course if you offered 8TEU+1LOT and ask for 8TEU+1 LOT you do nothing. You want to win something, even if it's a trainer, but if packs, better of course.

You can start with cards at 2-3 packs prices and then try to get +1 little by little. Then jump to more valuable cards as the difference between giving and wanting will be higher than 1 pack. When you move around Jolteon GX, Flareon GX, Lele GX, Zoroark GX, Blacephalon GX and that kind of +10 pack cards, you will be able sometimes to win a cuple packs maybe in a trade. Indeed it's slow but, it's the way people do, I think.

Stay tune, next set is going to change everything!

Agree everything with Chasista except I personally prefer staying in low cost cards(1-3 packs) due to having comparably bigger win margin. For instance if you were to buy card that costs 7 packs for you and sell it with 9 you would win comparably less than doing for instance 3 trades in which you buy with 2 and sell with 3 (50% profit compared to investment)you would win 3 packs in process and actually could do yet one trade in which you would buy  with 1 and sell with 2 (100% profit compared to investment)

In ideal situation you would be able to have all your packs invested in the latter type of trades, meaning each time you would double your packs, but as competition is fierce in such trades, consistency is little problem.

The order I would prioritize things would be:

consistency of trade going through>how many such trades you can create with relatively good success rate>How quickly trade will go through(assuming I'm in situation where I could potentially create new trade)>profit percent compared to investment

Ofcourse these are really fluctating and if I for instance would find trade that even though bad success rate but made up for it in massive profits, I would definitely keep doing it .

alternative way to get pack:

1. Buy pikachu box from the ingame shop by 79 coins

2. Trade the Pikachu box for one good common(eg.zorua or vulpix)

3. Trade the acquired card for 2 commons, for instance charmanders

4. Trade  those cards to copies of card you had before.

5. repeat steps 3 and 4 untill you have 8 of the common you had traded from pikachu box

6. Trade commons for 4 copies of guzma or any other fairly valuable uncommon

7. Trade uncommons for pack

edit:what in the name of.... did I write to get punished so badly by the censor.... I will fix this mess in the morning(currently 3.00 am in Finland)

edit2:Apparently censor really hates words "in", "trade","pikachu box" and "charmander". Hopefully it will now show up as intended...

edit3:For the mercy of Arceus....

edit4:I'm about to win the system in its own game, you will see...

edit5:Victory! Actual reason for censoring? Because I didn't use space after the numbers.....

So basically I should build off of one pack. Thanks guys.

But, what if I have no event tickets, or cards that I can use to trade for packs?

I mean, I have 3 Cynthia, 2 Guzma, and 3 Battle compressor(which is still being asked for In trades). Is it worth trading them to get a Team Up pack or something

Only 1 Cynthia and 1 Guzma are tradable though.

I use Ou7c4st's price guide.

I’m LF for Battle Compressors. I’d do 1 BUS, 1 CES, and an Uncommon Chest for the 3 Compressors to get you rolling.

I really think I should not have talked about pikachu box here...If you hear nothing from me it's probably FBI who silenced me.

I only have one Battle Compressor that I want to trade. What would you take for one?

Useful tool. But far from real public prizes. Updating every couple weeks makes it not always accurate. If you read all the text there is the middle price in I don't know how much time, for selling and getting and yara yara. Either way, PikaRom is far from 5/7'5/9'25. For at least a month has been more like 5/6/8 to get it easily. Which means to get it people offers around 4/5/7. So at the end we could say 4'5/5'5/close to 8, as "fair".

If you want 9'25 for the RR no one is going to get your trade. Sure there are some 9 and 8'5 around.

Don't get me wrong, it's an awesome tool. But learn to use it and always crosscheck with public. If you're going to get any card, keep track of the price variations for some days and you'll have an accurate idea of the real prices ?

Ok!

But going back to my last question, should I trade a Cynthia, Guzma, or a Battle Compressor to start getting packs?

Keep a playset of each. Probably you can trade Guzma as there are a couple locked in Theme decks but not sure if you have 4. For sure Cynthia as you should have 6 locked from both TEU + Mach Strike Themes. Personally I wouldn't trade away Battle compressor unless it's a 5th copy in your collection plus, you said only tradeable where Cynthia and Guzma... ? Not sure if enough for a pack. If 3 cards would be easier.

Best way to win rewards is playing. You get tokens for new Theme to don't need to invest in some cards, mainly trainers, from new sets, you win locked packs sometimes, and you win Tickets for events that lead you to unlocked packs.

I agree. I feel for right now, I should be focusing on trainers to make my Volcanion deck better and just to have staples.

I have 3 Cynthia's(1 tradable), 2 Guzma(one tradable which is a reverse holo), and 3 tradable Battle Compressors.

Sup! ?

Based off the current info about your dilemma and packs, I feel that focusing on your Volcanion deck would definitely be the best bet. Just try saving up tokens and tickets to buy packs and enter tournaments. With a bit of luck you might be able to pack some good cards or even win a tournament (and get 6 packs!).

Also check the trade market daily, you never know when someone might post up a trade for a card you are looking for.

Best of luck!
