Nihilego LOT 106 and Tectass (Golisopod) GX

Hi guys,

I play a normal match against a dude running a Nihilego LOT 106.

It used nightcap that it can use any attack of my pokémon attacks, if I own exactly 2 price cards.

So it used the armor press of my tectass gx.

In my turn i switched into another tectass gx used ********** and finally attacked with first impression.

It should dealt 30(base dmg)+90(switch)+20(kukui)-20(first impression) = 120 but it dealt just 100 (not 120) dmg.

So this has to be a bug. I added my opponent in the game (ign: deadduckofdoom) and he was also really confused about that.

I hope I could help you to fix this bug ????

Yours faithfully

I'm not going to analyze this deeply, but wanted to point something out in your own post.

You say, "It should have done 30 + 90 + 20 - 20, but instead it dealt just 120 damage."

(30 + 90 + 20 - 20) equals 120.  By your own math, where's the bug?

And, your point?  One of us is misunderstanding, and I still don't see a bug from what is described.  His math seems correct, which is why I'm wondering what the question is.

His opponent was running Nihilego.  He was using Golisopod-GX.

With exactly 2 prizes left, his opponent used Nihilego's Nightcap attack, which says, "Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon's attacks and use it as this attack."

Nihilego copies Golisopod-GX's Armor Press attack, which hits for 100, and says, "During your opponent's next turn, this Pokémon takes 20 less damage from attacks."

So next turn, Nihilego would receive 20 less damage, right?

On OP's next turn, he switched to another Golisopod-GX from the bench, using the new one's First Impression attack, which hits for 30 damage, and says, "If this Pokémon was on the Bench and became your Active Pokémon this turn, this attack does 90 more damage."

OP also played the Professor Kukui Supporter during his turn, which adds 20 damage.

When he attacks with Golisopod-GX's First Impression attack....

30 + 90, because Golisopod became active that turn.

+ 20, because of Professor Kukui.

- 20, because Nihilego has used Armor Press the turn before.

Again, (30 + 90 + 20 - 20) equals 120, which is what was computed.  Where's the bug?

The OP says the attack should have dealt 120 damage, but only did 120 damage.  What am I missing?

Please note, people, this post was a joke. "Tectass" is Golisopod, which is a bug/water type.

The bug was the active pokemon.

I should have known. @XK920XK has quite a good sense of humor to boot. ;) Edited by RobRatt

Hi genrlrambo,

Thank you for reporting this. I'm rounding up notes to send to the development team. If you happen to have a game log for this issue, please feel free to post it to this thread. It will help the development team to figure out what could be causing this issue.

Thank you!
