What do You think about building a deck based on new Team Up's Persian?

Make ’Em Pay [1 colorless]

If your opponent has 4 or more cards in their hand, they reveal their hand. Discard cards you find there until your opponent has exactly 4 cards in their hand.

20 If your opponent has 4 or more cards in their hand, they reveal their hand. Discard cards you find there until your opponent has exactly 4 cards in their hand.

source: **************

The attack seems pretty decent.

Do you think it could be useful during incoming games?

I am asking because I like this particular poke-warrior.

But not so sure how to figure out correct companions for him.

Well, if you pair it with disruption cards, why not. Better in Expanded but Persian won't be hard to KO, more with Fighting weakness. Opponent being patient and not drawing crazy breaks the Persian attack and Persian doesn't hit hard.

On your side, it's a 1 prize pokémon. But not a lot more.

Either way, you should try!

I highly recommend Porygon Z mixed in - the one with Initialize.

Initialize activates when you evolve Porygon 2 with Porygon Z. It de-evolves all the highest stage, for example from stage 2 to stage 1 pokemon into the opponent's hand or stage 1 to basic

If you evolve two Porygons in one turn, it will de-evolve a stage 1 to a basic pokemon.

Because it returns cards into opponent's hand, you can bring out Persian and equip it with an energy, then attack. (Make sure the opponent has more than 4 cards before you start this process)

This will ensure you can discard the dangerous cards, including supporter cards and put it into the discard pile.

Now, by this point, opponent should be panicking. You have neutered his deck in most cases.

What you can do next is use Oricorio and do damage (placing damage counters) based on the discarded pokemon in the discard pile. It works on bench pokemon unless otherwise blocked by a Stadium card.

It is a very fun combination with Persian.
