[CARD] Purugly (UPR 109) "Own the Place" attack effect not working...

Cards: Purugly

Card Number: Ultra Prism #109

Expected Action: Purugly's "Own the Place" attack should make Purugly immune to all effects of my opponent's attacks, including damage, during their turn after this attack is used, because there was a Shrine of Punishment that I had put into play earlier during my turn before I attacked.

Actual Action: Purugly took 10 damage from my opponent's Zapdos's Thunderous Assault (Team Up) after my Purugly had just used "Own the Place" while my Shrine of Punishment of was in play. The damage was 10 because their Zapdos had never moved in or out of their active slot before attacking, but it should have been zero because of the effect of Purugly's "Own the Place" attack.

Steps to Reproduce: Use Purugly's "Own the Place" attack after playing a Shrine of Punishment that same turn. Then have the opponent with an active Zapdos (Team Up) use Thunderous Assault on that same Purugly.

I can post / attach the game log where this happened, if it would further help in resolving the issue.

Note: my opponent never used any Escape Rope / Guzma tricks to negate the effect of Purugly's attack, in case you thought that happened.

Never mind, I just realized that I misread the effect.

If your opponent has a Stadium card in play, discard it. If you do, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokémon during your opponent’s next turn.

I had interpreted the underlined part as, "if you have a stadium card in play, then..."

Hello Jamtok_X,

Thank you for taking the time to update us on this.

We're glad to hear it was just a misunderstanding and not a bug.

We've also edited the title of this thread to reflect this sub's format.
