Detective Pikachu-Exclusive Trading Card

Hey everybody, with Detective Pikachu over a month away from making it's big theater debute, anybody hoping there would be an exclusive card to be handed out?  Like they did with the first movies, when they handed out the Mewtwo cards?  Along with maybe a code so that you can use it for the online game?

 

As for me, I wouldn't mind if they did or didn't, just as long as I can watch the movie without too many distractions.

I haven't seen any news on if they will give cards away at the theater but I did see some news about some new Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu collections coming out soon. I'll post the links below so you can check them out!

Pretty sure a lot of people know by now.  Main question is, with Pokemon returning to Movie Theaters, well there be card waiting for the viewers during the first week or two.

Hello there trainers, I'm not sure if there will be any cards handed out at the movie, but I can confirm I am hyped. At first I was unsure of how I felt about live action Pokemon, but I have watched the trailer a few times and I'm really warming up to the idea. Can't wait for it to hit theaters.

I doubt it, there are three promos (Bulbasaur, Psyduck, and Snubbull) that are going to be given out at certain retailers in May but that's about it. There IS one card in Japan's Detective Pikachu set that's not in ours (a Full Art Supporter featuring Detective Yoshida) but I have a feeling that's going to be a box promo due to FAs generally being considered a "premium" item.

Also, was a TCG card given out when Pokemon: The Power of Us was given a limited release in theaters? I know that some screenings of Pokemon: I Choose You! had a Pikachu card.

Yep, available at theaters on opening weekend, another Detective Pikachu promo that will never see the inside of a deck.

I agree it won’t see play, but the Art is pretty good.

 

Also, a new video about the movie was released. I can’t find it on the Pokémon website, but it is on PokeBeach.

Hmmm... A Detective Pikachu card and a "mystery" card in a single pack?

 

I have a feeling that card may be the Full-Art Detective Yoshida card I mentioned earlier, it's the only Detective Pikachu-themed card that HASN'T been seen in any sort of promotional products yet.

I’m not completely sure, but I think only Japan is getting Detective Yoshida.
