Help with my first deck plz

Hey guys!
I've just finished opening a lost thunder booster box I got for Christmas and figured I'd boot up my old account on here to get double the value pack opening wise but now I'm looking to build a deck to play with.
I have most of the cards from the lost thunder set with a reasonable number of dupes(notable exceptions being magcargo GX and blacephelon GX) and was wondering if anyone on these forums could help me out as I've only really got lost thunder cards and no idea where to start
I think a fire electric deck could be interesting but I'm not fussy and anything you guys can come up with would be cool!

Well you could build

 

Lost March, which is very powerful. I can’t really describe it, because I haven’t played with it or against it much, but other players could probably help you.

 

Granbull, which is still pretty strong. Granbull has an attack for one fairy energy where you can do 160 damage if you have no cards in your hand. I have an extra I can trade you if you decide on this one.

 

I don’t really have much else to add. Other players will most likely give you better advice than I. Have fun!

You will probably want to list all the GX’s you have first as it will stop people from coming up with a deck then you saying, “oh i don’t have that card”.

Also, if you need some cards i have some spare ones i could definetly trade you! Also, do you have some tyranitar GX? I will definetly trade for them if you don’t need them and are willing to trade.

That granbull sounds pretty strong and I know I've got a few of him so just wondering if you've got a sort of general build you'd use for that deck(trainers, other Pokemon etc)

Yeah that probably would've been sensible. If it still helpful to anyone I've got 3 shuckle,1 virizion, 1 suicune, 1 zeraora, 2 genesect, 1 a-ninetales,1 mimikyu and 2 lugia. Also sorry bomberboy I never packed tyranitar IRL or on the game but thanks for the welcome back

Definitely looks interesting! MIght take me a while to get all the cards I need to run it though. One question would be is 7 energy enough? I might be wrong but I thought you usually use more energy(~20) and also are there any cards from the lost thunder set you think would work as viable alternatives to some of the cards in here from other sets?

Hello Isilmon,

 

If I remember correctly most decks run 12 energy or less. 20 energy is way too much. Honestly, Magcargo you need so you should get some of thiose. You could use the Zebstrika line but I don’t think there are many others from LOT that would fit. Friend me in-game, and I can send you some trainers and stuff that maybe you can substitute.
