2.62 Patch Notes | Mar. 26, 2019

On March 26, 2019 the Pokémon TCG Online was updated to version 2.62. Changes in this version include:

  • Added support for the special Pokémon TCG: Detective Pikachu expansion. This expansion will be available in the game for code redemption starting March 29 and will not be available in the Shop. Cards from the Detective Pikachu expansion will be legal for use in tournaments starting April 12.
  • Updated the global navigation bar.
  • Game client upgraded to a more recent version of the Unity game engine.
  • AZ (PHF #91, 117): No longer returns only the highest stage card of the chosen Pokémon to the hand.
  • Black Market Prism Star (TEU #134): The effect of this card now properly applies only when a {D} Pokemon with {D} Energy attached is Knocked Out by damage from an opponent's attack.
  • Double Dragon Energy (ROS #97): Abilities that activate when an specific type of Energy is attached from the hand are now properly triggered when Double Dragon Energy is attached.
  • Fairy Charm UB (TEU #142): This card's effect now properly functions while Wonder Energy (PRC #144) is also attached.
  • Metal Goggles (TEU #148, 195): Damage counters from a retaliation effect on the Defending Pokemon are now properly prevented from being placed on an attacking Pokemon with Metal Goggles attached.
  • Spell Tag (LOT #190, 235): Effects that prevent the effects of Abilities will no longer prevent damage counters placed by Spell Tag.
  • Tapu Koko Prism Star (TEU #51): The UI for Dance of the Ancients now clearly indicates that the Energy cards must be dragged to the selected Pokémon.
  • The opponent is now consistently shown the cards being returned to the deck by a Trainer card effect that requires the returned cards to be a specific type, Pokémon Communication and Rescue Stretcher.
  • When the attacking Pokémon is moved to the Bench as an effect of its attack and the Defending Pokémon has a retaliation effect that places a Special Condition on the attacking Pokémon, the Special Condition is no longer applied to the attacking player's new Active Pokémon.
  • Foil effects are now properly visible on the card reveal screen after opening a booster pack.
  • Items in the Packs tab to now consistently appear while Sort by: Type is enabled.
  • The Uncommon Chest image is no longer used during the pack opening animation for Rare Holo Chests.
  • Editing or cloning a deck that contains a Pokémon BREAK card will no longer fail if the deck was created prior to the 2.61 game update.
  • The Torrential Cannon theme deck now includes the correct version of Pidgey.
  • Resolved an issue that caused several tradable gameplay items to not appear when creating a trade offer.
