Hi emzmur,

We would suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the game. In many instances, this will resolve the issue that you are describing. For specific instructions on how to do a full uninstallation of the TCGO Windows Client, please see this FAQ article: http://support.pokemon.com/ics/support/default.asp?deptID=15227&redirect=trueand after uninstalling, simply reinstall the game from the official download page.

If that does not resolve your issue, please submit a ticket by clicking the link to the support portal in my signature, signing in on the top right side of the page, then selecting the relevant category and clicking Contact Us.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

@emzmur, I guess you could always try reinstalling as a fix.  But that seems like a last resort option to me.  Are you using the same device (tablet or whatever) at home that you were using at your boyfriend's house?  If so, you might want to figure out why there's a problem with your home network.

To make sure it's transferring data fast enough to support gaming, I'd recommend doing an Internet speed test.  There's several that are free and safe, and even one designed by Google.  You can google "speedtest" and it will give you a better idea.

If your speeds are fine, there might be other issues, which you can read about in this section of the forum.  Rather than searching, I know there's one common FAQ answer ('because I posted it) in another thread that is just a few down.  Look for the one titled "Connection Lost."
