best way to spend coins

Finding myself with more coins than I know what to do with.  Initially, I was using them to buy new decks, but now I own all the theme decks I care to own.

Just buy boosters?  If so, what card set?  Do folks buy boosters with a particular card in mind that they're hoping to get?

That's basically what I do with my coins. I've been trying to get Jirachi by buying Team Up packs, for example.

Sometimes, and lately more times than not, it worth to have a second copy of some Theme to get a second copy or full playset of some playable cards easier, e.g. TEU Charizard, Twilight rogue for extra Malamar and so, or Trainers we all know are staple like Cynthia, Guzma, Escape board etcetera.

If you already have an extensive base of cards to play with and no need of those extra cards even to get locked copies and release the unlocked to get 1-2 packs each, then yes, you can aim to Packs, keeping always some coins close to the date of a new set release to get the new Theme.

Another option is get Pikachu boxes to add them to trades and be over some other disputants. Something valued 3 that everyone offers 2 packs you can add 1 or some Pikachu boxes to make a little difference.

If you also have the available Deck boxes and sleeves from in-game shop, right now I can't think nothing else to spend into than packs. TEU, LOT and GUR seems to be the obvious choices unless you look for something from other set to play with or to as I said, release unlocked copies to get packs in case you get locked ones.

It's also a good idea to keep a certain amount of tokens in reserve, mainly for 2 things:

> 1000-1500 tokens to buy the new Theme Decks of each new expansion immediatly upon release.

> ~500 tokens to post trades. I doubt you even need that many unless you're a big trader, but it can't hurt to be on the safe side. If you want to put up several trades up simultaneously it can get a bit tight if you have less than 100 tokens, and if you're fishing for better prices some of your trades might expire (you may know this already, but your tokens get refunded if your trade is successful).

Beyond that, buying packs is the only other thing you can do. Like Chasista suggested, GUR, LOT and TUP are the best ones to open if you're not searching for anything in particular.
