What's up with Torrential Cannon?

I finally gathered enough wits to leave Hydro Fury and give the new Torrential Cannon theme deck a try. And I wasn't disappointed.

I achieved a 10 Win streak and went on to win the next two tournaments I played.

I have been stuck many times, not able to make any move within the first two turns. But this deck is too **** lucky. The game seems to be laid out in front of you, from the moment you start playing.

 

Any suggestions on how to counter it.........

Tropical Takedown -- I eat Torrential Cannon, Imperial Command, and ironically, Relentless Flame (I believe it's called, the new Charizard deck) all day long... Win rates about 9/10 (against all decks), been 100% so far against the named decks. Most people rage quit when the Eggsecute setup pops and their first big-boy goes down suddenly after they have destroyed your first 3 basics you loaded with energy... They thought they were fighting someone that is incompetent then the tides turn roughly in your favor... Just be sure to:

 

A. Keep your cards moving

B. Hold onto your "Weakness Policy," "Rescue Stretcher," 2 Grass Energy, and your "Escape Board" until the very end

C. Hold onto your "Alolan Exeggutor" (s) until you have at least 6 energy in the discard

D. Get Alolan Sandslash and Alolan Raticate (with Evil Orders) setup as fast as you can (2 energy on Raticate but none on Sanslash, bench them for two additional cards per turn - watch your cards, stop around 10 in deck)...

E. Allow them to take your Rattattas and Cubone/Marowaks (which can attach energy to themselves) use Sophocles (I think his name is) whenever he pops and bury two energy for four cards. Then spring the trap... Takes 5-8 minutes to setup, then a few turns to end... Although most just rage quit on you.

While the 2 new Theme Decks aren't tier 1 IMO (still the best decks among tier 2 though, may as well call them tier 1.5), it's true their playstyle's the most linear out of all Theme Decks. Relentless Flame even more so. They definitely have the least chance to brick out of all Theme Decks.
