Extra versus ladder points

I have 309 extra points on the 21 day versus ladder since I grinded for extra tokens when Team Up was released and I'm sure others have even more than that; any extra points over 2,000 should be converted into tokens when the new ladder starts.

I second this idea! ^_________^ Last ladder I had over 3000 LOL! It would be nice to see the extra points converted into coins or add an extension past the 2000 limit (NOT CHANGING the original ladder)-Just adding more after 2000 for those who complete the ladder with extras.

That would reintroduce the collusion problem, and give those who partake of it even bigger rewards.

 

For a time, there were players who would, by chat signal, concede games on the flip of the coin, in order to play games more quickly and inflate their winnings.

 

This was fixed by changing the reward system, along with manually imposed bans. I don't think they'd like to go back to hunting these players.

Plus, this would encourage over-grinding, something TPCi (and most players) like to avoid.  It further reduces the success of people who simply don't have a ton of time to spend on the game.

I think it's a good thing that the game discourages excessive grinding. It's taken a lot of refinement to make the ladder rewards system what it currently is, and I think it's perfectly good as it is right now. A maximum of 11 wins per day with bonus points for win streaks means you complete the ladder in a reasonable amount of time. The fact that there are essentially no rewards past the 11th daily win and the 2000 point mark also discourages collusion (namely, "genting"). I think the game is more fun this way. I already get plenty of free points for win streaks, I don't need people insta-conceding every other game to give me more (and I can most certainly do away with the ragestallers that wasted your time out of spite when you refused to cooperate with their charade).
