I used this in a deck in versus mode and it was X'd out (no effect).  I don't have the game long, but I don't think there were any affects that would have caused this.  Possible I just missed it, though.  Is that item special somehow?

FFB has restrictions built into it which many people miss. It can only affect certain pokemon.

 

Specifically, it only works on Basics.

SandaledOtter, thank you for the helpful reply! It sounds like this is may be why the card did not work as buddyglass expected. 

 

buddyglass, if you run into a situation where a card does not act as you think it should, it can be very helpful to save the game log. This way you can review each turn and determine what happened.
