Is it just me, or does everybody have to sign in before they can access most of the parts of these forums

That seems to be the case. It doesn't really bother me because I have the page set to remembering my account, so I don't need to log in every single time. I still think it's weird though. Most of the other forums I know of allow you to view freely without having to log in.

Yeah. I don't need to login everytime, but even when I have it remember my account, I still have to do it 70% of the time.

As I used to do most of my online stuff in a campus computer lab, I got in the habit of making sure the computer  does not remember my screennames or passwords for me.  So yeah, I've got to sign in before I can view sections like the In-Game Item Exchange subforum.

It's possible it makes things harder for the spambots, but it's probably unrelated to the reason why we've seen less of them as of late. This site has required you to log in to use most of its functions for as far as I can remember.

 

Either way, I'm happy to see that the spambots are having less success.
