I need 2 Shining Genesect-9/73-Holo Rare. They sell for around 6$. Will trade for 4 boosters of Sun and Moon- Dragon Majesty or Lost Thunder.

Sorry new.

Okay, since you're new, maybe there are a couple things you'll want to know.

 

Most players won't take the time to answer your original post.  Why?  Because they have no idea, (1) who you might be, (2) whether you're nice or fair, because you didn't leave any indication, (3) whether you have any idea what this card is worth, (4) whether you have anything comparable to trade, or (5) whether it's worth the effort.

 

In the future, you'll have better luck if your posts are a little more personable.

 

To conduct a private trade it takes more effort than first realized.  You have to:

 

1.  Send them a friend request, or ask them to send you one.

2.  Wait for the other person to get online, and accept it.

3.  Start discussing the trade, and hope they're not wasting your time.

4.  Decide who's going to send the trade offer.

5.  Wait for the other player to get online, and accept, or counter the offer.

 

Here again, if you realize the effort needed, you'll want to be understanding.  It always helps if you start off by letting interested players know that you have equal trading material.  If you don't have much to trade, you'll want to be upfront about it.  Either way, you should give some indication.

 

Do you know the value of the cards you're looking for?  JSYK, by most standards, Shining Genesect is worth about two decent packs, along the lines of Lost Thunder, Dragon Majesty, or Guardians Rising. ...OR another card that's of equal value.  If you search the trades in-game, you'll see that others might ask higher (up to 4 packs) but you can usually ignore them.  They're still listed because they're too high.

 

You may want to check out a website that many players use for reference, called OU7C4ST (google it).  His prices are not always 100% accurate, but if you combine it with your own searches in-game, you'll get a better idea of value (of both booster packs and other trading cards).

 

I don't have any extra Shining Genesect to trade, but I hope some of this info helps.

Wait a minute buddy.  You listed a dollar value for these.  Are you looking for physical, real-world copies?

 

Any trading done in these forums is for "virtual" cards that work for PTCGO (the online app).  Deals for physical cards need to be found at your local card shop, or an online resource (i.e. Amazon, etc.).

 

If you're seeking virtual cards, and if you have 4 boosters (2 each) of Dragon Majesty or Lost Thunder, you can search Public trading in the game, and pick those up without even doing this private offer.  ATM, there are 4 recent trades in Public for this value.

 

If you can't figure out the Public Offers scene, and have 4 boosters, I can trade you 2 of mine, and will just replace them afterward.  If so, send me a Friend Request.  But I'd recommend placing your own offer first.  If you have time to wait, you can usually get them a bit cheaper than the "retail" price I quoted before by posting your own offer.

Yea I just saw that last part, so if your down for the trade. 2 of the genesect for 4 of the booster packs ONLINE! ***** christ...then uh yea accept my freinds request.

Okay, I see where you sent me a Friend Request.  But when I attempt to accept it, the popup says, "There was an error processing this request."  I'm not sure exactly what's happening, but usually that means that someone has sent you a request, and then deleted it (accidentally or not).

 

So, I've sent you a Friend Request now.  The option is still there if you want.  Accept the FR, and the Genesect are tagged For Trade.  If you send a private offer as mentioned, I'll accept it.  No pressure or stress on my end.
