¿ The system is pairing the stall decks?

I have been trying some slow decks out of the meta and when I play with them I am always  paired with other decks similar.

¿The system shouldn't be impartial? The only way for us to play test is to be friends with the other player and agree with the decks?

If meta decks are paired with meta decks people will get bored

The Matchmaker is entirely based around your hidden skill level (ELO) which is based on your winrate, and ostensibly on some other related statistics. It has absolutely nothing to do with whatever deck you're using in any particular match. There aren't any "patterns" and the game isn't pairing you on purpose with similar decks; it's just pairing you with people with a similar ELO.

I just posted this response, played with Buzzwole/Lycanroc and paired with Zoro Lycanroc.

I haven't played with a Zoroark with a stall deck in days.

I've been playing Wailord EX stall in Expanded for the last ~ 100 games and I can count the number of other stall based decks on one hand.

Its just a coincidence that you are facing a lot them.

It might have something to do with playing better decks, and your rating is improving.

Stall decks, and one-hit wonders (quick donk decks) are usually in the lower ratings.  When you consistently play Tier-1 decks, it's only natural that you'll face equal contenders.  Think of real-world tournaments.  You're not going to see garbage in the Top 32 or the Finals.

Keep in mind. ...Even if the game does try to pair us with equal ratings (as claimed), there may not be someone at a given moment, and your opponent might be higher or lower.  Personally, I've only heard other players pushing this whole "hidden ELO rating" theory (nothing official).  Even if it exists, I suspect it's highly flawed, and more random than not.

'Twasn't personal.  All razzing aside, Wailord is definitely an exception to stall decks.  Mainly I was thinking about those decks that you only see on the VS Ladder, the ones that don't stand a chance in real-world Events.

I modified my post above (adding the quotes I was responding to) for better context.
