[GENERAL] Login - Frequent disconnections

One of the best tcg games out there has the worst tcg app ever. I've played online: hearthstone, magic, shadow verse, elements, monster cards, and over a dozen more. Never had I encountered an app so bad like this one. I've tried on my tablet, PC and laptop and when I can finally connect I'll play a couple of games before it disconnects. I've tried reinstalling, and other stuff and nothing works. I've tried wifi, mobile data and cable and nothing. Everything works fine except the game. I've spent money on in game packs and decks to use them in the app, and it's just frustrating. All forums are full with people complaining on the client or app and nobody does anything. Please fix it.

Hi arowire,

The Pokémon TCG Online is currently available for Android Tablet devices, as well as iPad and desktop PC and Macs. The game was originally designed for a robust (wifi or wired) data connection and has not been optimized for use over a limited mobile data connection.

Minimum requirements:
Android Tablet
Space Required: Up to 6 GB
Android OS Revision: 4.0 or higher

Most Android tablets are supported. Due to the large number of Android devices, we cannot guarantee compatibility with any specific device. Kindle Fire tablets are not natively supported through the Google Play store. The game may run on Kindle Fire tablets, but this has not been tested.

I would recommend you to uninstall and reinstall the game, making sure that your devices meet the minimum requirements.

If you continue experiencing issues with the Pokémon TCG Online, please submit a ticket by clicking the link [to the support portal] in my signature, signing in on the top right side of the page, then selecting the relevant category and clicking Contact Us.

Thank you!

From time to time, I've had this happen too.  ...and know the feeling.

You may think you've got a good WiFi connection, but I'm pretty sure that's where the problem is.  Yes, this game requires a solid signal, but it only disconnects when it's gone.  I'd recommend that you do a hard reset of your modem and router.  Turn off the router, unplug the modem, wait 30 seconds, plug the modem back in, wait for those lights, then turn your router back on.  This solves most problems.  If it continues, you'll want to contact your Internet provider.

It's almost IMPOSSIBLE to actually play this. 3 out 5 games I'm losing, and the 2 ones that I have the upper hand, I get disconnected. What's the point in ´playing if that's how it's going to be?

I get disconnected all the time. My wifi is fine, the program is too sensitive and disconnects. When I watch *******, it doesn't skip a beat, when I stream Netflix, it doesn't skip a beat, even when I play other games online, it's mostly fine, unless my internet literally stops working, and that's not what happens when I play this and get disconnected. I hardly think that freaking Pokemon TCGO needs that much bandwidth to be playable,

I really think that it's a program problem that's too sensible to the connection and should be fixed. You say it's not optimize, well how about you get to it? I mean if it's a Tablet product as well, it seems like a reasonable assumption that people will use it with their mobile connection, and that's not even my case, but it seems like it gets to be a problem with wifi as well.

Everytime I see the little yellow signal, the first thing I do is see my computer's own wifi signal and it's perfectly fine, and it still disconnects. How many other thread are there about constant disconnection? A whole lot, so it's definitely a problem for lots of people.

Happens to me all the time.  Try this.  As soon as you see the yellow wifi network icon, send one of the smiley faces to your opponent.  Its worked for me today, and am wondering if this works for others or is a fluke.

I am thinking maybe the game switches from receive to transmit, and somehow wakes it back up.  I dont know... but try it and let me know.
