Returning to Collectin

Hi all,

 

I am an old time collector and I recently broke out my card set. I've got 400 unique cards (mostly from the 95-98 series) and I spent a lot of time getting them organized in a new binder.

 

I'm kind of thinking about getting back into collecting but am finding it really hard to figure out where to jump back in.

 

As a side question, is there a website/tool where I can build out my collection digitally? I thought for a second that this website might have that feature but I couldn't even locate the very first of my cards (too old maybe?)

the ptcgo game only goes back to hgss era cards.

TCG Collector can probably do what you need.  As for where to start, I'm not sure I can help you- though you might try the LTr and Gen radiant collections just because they're cool.  (Visually, LTr's is much cooler, but Gen has awesome Dex entries.)

I've been doing a lot of catchup recently and I think I want to try to go for completing the Base set and Jungle set (first editions if I can find them), and pick a newer set to start working on.

 

Oddly enough I'm playing through emerald and plan on trying to trade up to each game to get all the pokemon to the newest version of the games.

 

I checked out the TGC site but they seem to be missing all the base set cards so I can't begin adding them. I might just end up making an excel sheet for myself O.o.
