Acerola and Evolutions Electrode... I think?

Just got done with a really weird game, that pretty much ended after Acerola was played, but I tried to play it out some more, but there wasn't really any going back. 

My opponent had Steam Siege Ampharos active, with 1 Lightning Energy, and 1 Evolutions Electrode attached, and it had 80 Damage and was Paralyzed. 

I had BlackWhite Zoroark active with a DCE attached. 

My opponent used Acerola, which put everything in their hand except their Roaring Skies Voltorb that was attached through Electrode I assume, and Voltorb didn't go anywhere. It just sat on the side of the screen? My opponent didn't get the chance to bring a new pokemon into the active spot. Instead their turn just ended. 

So my opponent didnt have an active Pokemon. Just a Voltorb (different Voltorb) on the bench, and a Steam Siege Talonflame on the bench. 

I had Zoroark active, and I tried to use Foul Play as the attack, but as my opponent didnt have any active Pokemon, there weren't any moves I could Foul Play. 

So I ended my turn, and when their turn started, they drew a card, and then their turn immediately ended, and it became my turn again. 

So I tried something else. I slowly set up a Dark Explorers Darkrai, since that hits the bench too. After Darkrai was set up, I used Guzma to try to bring up Talonflame, but nothing on their side moved. Talonflame stayed benched, and they still had no active Pokemon. But Darkrai did move to the active. I tried attacking with Darkrai, and I still had no attack options despite having 3 Darkness Energies attached. 

All in all, the bug appears to be with Acerola and Evolutions Electrode. I think. I don't know what else could have caused this.
