Flabebe #83 (forbidden light) with Rare candy?

A few days before the new forbidden light set came out I took a look at the cards and Flabebe really caught my eye. It has the Evolutionary Advantage ability, whereby "If you go second, this Pokémon can evolve during your first turn." My question is, will this work in combination with rare candy such that you could potentially evolve flabebe into florges on the first turn?

Nothing said against it. The word is just "Evolve". It doesn't care to what Stage. As long as follow the rules of evolving, can do it.

 

Additionally you could Wally after the candy for the BREAK

Choose 1 of your Basic Pokémon in play. If you have a Stage 2 card in your hand that evolves from that Pokémon, put that card onto the Basic Pokémon to evolve it. You can't use this card during your first turn or on a Basic Pokémon that was put into play this turn.

Ok I see, so just the fact that it says I can't play the card on the first turn means I can't do that

Man that would really help flabebe out... I guess the evolutionary advantage ability is a good start though

And if I managed to get floette and a Wally I could still evolve it to Florges on the first turn
