I traded for every single card and got them very cheap. Mostly a common for a common etc. Only the special rare cards was a bit expansive like a evo or sts pack.

i mean the trainer kits, not cards or normal packs.

I think he's advising you to look for the individual cards from the Trainer Kits as an option.  A couple of them are steep in price, just because most people have opened them already (in particular Night Hunter and Claw Barrage).  Most of the later ones are relatively cheap as a Kit, about 4-6 value on a good day (it varies).  Each Kit/Set is numbered 1-60, including the Energy, and sometimes you can chase the single cards easier.

No.  If you have all 60 cards, collected individually, it will NOT show up in Deck Manager or >Collection >Packs.  It will show up with Set Complete symbols in Statistics, but they've hinted at removing the Trainer Kits from that, so there may not be much glory in the long run.

The later Trainer Kits are plentiful, and show up in Public Offers quite often.  Mark them "For Want" and check Pack Filters if you have the time and patience.

JSYK, if you have a Kit unopened in >Packs, the 60 cards will still me "missing" from your overall collection.  It's a tradeoff, depending on what you want.

In order to get the box under Packs, you'll need to trade for 2 copies of the kit because the first one will automatically open to give you the deck.

i dont think that works with trainer kits... because i have 1 of a kit i never traded for before well about 4 or 5 actually.

could be wrong but i never traded for the kits before
