[CARD] Mimikyu (GRI #58) - 'copycat' doesn't work well

i was just playing theme playing mode.

 

and used Mimikyu's copycat

(If your opponent's Pokemon used an attack that isn't a GX attack during their last turn, use it as this attack) 

 

to copy Emolga's voltswitch.

 

But it only copy damage, not the additional effects.

Volt Switch only switches with benched lightning pokemon. Do you have any benched lightning pokemon?

 

EDIT: Just realize that you're playing theme. In that case, no you couldn't have switched cuz there are no lightning pokemon in Hidden Moon.

BowserLuigi is right.  Look closely at that card, because Emolga's attack just shows a "L" symbol, rather than saying, "Lightning."

 

Volt Switch = Switch this Pokémon with 1 of your Benched "L" Pokémon.

 

To add to what he is saying, if you don't have any Lightning Pokémon on the Bench -- even if you were playing that Theme Deck -- no switch takes place.  If you do have a Lightning guy on the Bench, you must switch, it's not optional.
