VikaBulu after rotation

Hi,

I search for a deck list of the famous VikaBulu Set. In the "original" deck is 4x VS seeker and Shaymin, so it ddoesn't suit to the actual rules.

I would begin with:

4-2-4 Vikavolt (1 GX, 3 normal)

3 Bulu

1 Koko GX

2 Koko promo

Maybe Starmie? Octillery? I have 1 Lele GX atm. I would really appreciate every help.

I don't think you need Vikavolt GX, as Bulu already does the heavy lifting. Reducing the Vikavolt lineup to 3-1-3 is generally better to make room for other cards.

oh ok, the GX move from Vikavolt looks too good in combination with Koko promo. And how does the rest fits best? Is 4-1-3 reliable?

3-1-3 Grubbin-Charjabug-Vikavolt is preferred. You don't want to start with Grubbin without a Float Stone/Switch/Guzma in your opening hand because of its expensive retreat cost for an evolvable basic. Any other copies of Grubbin in your deck can be searched with Brigette.

Have anyone a decklist where I can start from? The most decks contain cards which are rotated and I got "just" one Lele GX, so I can't use most of the lists I found with google :/

Maybe this:

Pokémon: 13

3x Tapu Bulu-GX

3x Vikavolt

1x Charjabug

3x Grubbin

1x Tapu Lele-GX

2x Tapu Koko Promo

1x Tapu Koko-GX

Trainers: 35

4x Professor Sycamore

4x N

2x Guzma

2x Acerola

1x Brigette

1x Olympia

2x Brock's Grit

1x Skyla

3x Rare Candy

3x Ultra Ball

3x Heavy Ball

3x Fighting Fury Belt

2x Float Stone

2x Field Blower

1x Energy Recycler

Energy:

7x Basic Grass Energy

5x Basic Lightning Energy

Some people don't like Sophocles, but in this deck it works wonders for me as it is a super conservative deck in terms of discard - Sophocles let's you choose a couple of discard targets for 4 new cards, without throwing everything off as with Sycamore, and if you've got three candies in hand, that flexibility to get 4 new cards without throwing everything away is massive.

Usual Turn 1 Brigette, usually into a mew and 2 Grubbin - easy get a Bulu out later. Mew's encounter can be a lifesaver on first turn getting a Vikavolt directly or a Lele for turn 2 to get what is needed. Avoid mew in the Greninja matchup (except for early stages). 2 Grubbins are 100% necessary as any sensible opponent will take it out first chance they get.

Clefairy not ideal in most matchups, but a very important card in other matchups. If you don't need it then it can be discarded by ultra ball or sophocles .

Skyla is at 3 - might be better maxed out for when you need to get energy back in your deck - but 3 works good for me.

BTW - my decklist only has two vikavolt because I only have two. I'd probably add a third if I had it. Not sure what I'd lose for it - the deck is super tight.

I would recommend choise band over the Fighting Fury Belt, since choice band allows you to hit 180 with the gx attack, wich is a 1 hit KO on many basic GX, and your 180 attack (Nature's Judgment) will hit for 210 instead allowing you to KO pokemons like Golisopod in 1 hit

My Vika/Bulu is like this, in case it is of any help

Maybe I am unlucky or too stupid to play, but this decks feels pretty inconsistent.

First, I really start too often with Grubbin and cuz of the high retreat costs and no switch in this deck it gets one-shot early. Second, this deck is hard countered with anti-EX-/GX-Pokemon. The only attacker against, for example Hoopa, Vikavolt...

Note 2 Brigette as optional, this player feared the Prizes and felt it was worth the second slot, but you'll never play both in one game.
The high Field Blower count is needed, Garbotoxin can wipe this deck out otherwise.
Mew and Clefairy are optional one-prize attackers, they can really turn the tables on several matchups by being non-G/EXs that use the attacks of E/GXs.
Tapu Koko GX is another optional addition that can really hurt opponents. Its GX attack is devastating, and the power to just drop in and transfer all/most/some of the Energy it needs is big, but without the GX attack it falls a little short of Bulu on firepower and endurance.
I'd say 5 Lightning Energy is safer and more common, but this build shows you can get away with 4.
Note the 1 Heavy Ball. Despite how good it is in this deck, it can't search Lele and it's Trash fuel. Having 4 Ultras is far more important. I'd perhaps play 2 Heavy Balls, but no more.
Vikavolt GX is a risky play in this deck. You have no need for the firepower, but having a bulky 240 HP final wall... say no more if you can pull it off. However, try and get a working build before doing something risky like this or Koko.
Finally, the 3 Lele can be intimidating, but as others show, it's not 100% needed to make a workable build. You can always get by with 1, and all you need to do is max out Ultras and play 2 Brigette to be on the safe side. It's just that 1 Lele will always have the chance of being prized, and there's nothing you can really do about that.
Best of luck!
