Beedrill Deck - Input wanted!

I’ve had a lot of success with this deck. About a 2:1 w/l ratio. Not bad considering they are Beedrillls....

The priority to is get a minimum of 3 bedrills out as quickly as possible. Then try to get the opponents powered-up card on the bench and switch it with something of a high retreat cost. Then kill it on the bench.

Beedrill have no retreat cost so as they take damage, keep cycling them out.

I’m still newish to deck building - I would LOVE some input on how to improve this deck further.

8 Energy and:

4 Ultra Ball

4 Sycamore

4 N

Remove the 1-1 Mega line that hurts my eyes, or add some Sprit Links and take it to 2-2.

I would play Standard with this deck, you lose nothing important and you face a slower metagame.

We'll start there.

Well, to be honest, your deck has a few problems. There are too many single and duplicate copies in your deck. I understand that you want to make your deck versatile and yes, these certain cards will help you out in certain occasions. BUT, a deck with too many purposes will usually act the opposite and become clunky. Please come up with a coherent game plan and a simple, basic strategy that you will use. Top decks usually play 4 copies of multiple cards just to increase consistency.

Well, I assume that you are using beedrills second attack. This is a possible decklist:

Pokemon (16):
4 Weedle
4 Kakuna
4 Beedrill
1 Tapu lele GX
2 Shaymin EX
1 Tapu ***o (flying flip)

Trainers (32):
4 Professor sycamore
2 N
1 Colress
4 Vs seeker
3 Choice band
1 Guzma
1 Lysandre
4 Ultra ball
3 Virbank
4 Hypnotoxic laser
1 rescue stretcher
1 super rod
3 Max elixer

Energy (12)
8 Grass
4 Double colorless

Main reasons:

1. Tapu lele/ Shaymin allows faster set up. Tapu lele also is a good early attacker

2. You are unlikely to make OHKOs, use poison to chip away your opponents HP. Tapu koko may set up a following OHKO or snipe injured benched pokemon.

3. Max elixers gives you energy acceleration.

4. Super rod and rescue stretchers help you recycle resources.
