A Question Regarding Mew's Ability (Evolutions 53/108).

You can probably adrealy guess what the question is going to be just from the title of this thread.

Mew's ability (Neutral Shield) prevents it from being affected by attacks, including damage, from your opponents Evolution Pokémon; so when it says "Evolution Pokémon" does it mean that it prevents Mew from being affected by cards from the same set or from evolved Pokémon?

If it's the former then I can understand why it hasn't seen much play (except for rogue decks).

The latter.  Evolution Pokemon are Stage 1, Stage 2, BREAK, and Mega.

Ah, okay. So it's one of those Pokémon "poor choice of words" situations.

Yes, I guess so. :P I didn't have any confusion until you pointed that out. Now my brain hurts. But yes: stage ones, stage twos, BREAKs, Megas, and Alolan Forms. *****, that was just a bad joke. Sue me.)
