Eeveelutions not Working Properly After Patch

After the recent September 26, 2016 patch, the Flare Effect (Flareon), Electric Effect (Jolteon), and Aqua Effect (Vaporeon) Eeveelutions from the Ancient Origins set are not working properly. The Stage 1 Pokemon gains the additional type, however when attacking with Stage 1 Pokemon that has gained an additional type from the Eeveelution , weaknesses are not applied. For example; if Flareon is on the bench and the Stage 1 Pokemon that has gained Flareon's fire type it is able to have fire energy attached to it from the discard pile using the Supporter card, Blacksmith, because it is now considered a fire type. However if that Stage 1 Pokemon attacks the opponents Pokemon that has a fire weakness, the weakness is not applied. The weakness are also not applied for the other two Eeveelutions.

This bug has crippled one of my most played decks and is frustrating to deal with. Please fix this bug as soon as possible

Thank you

Hi WolfDemon93

Thanks very much for your report!

I've sent the info here up for investigation. If you see this issue again, please save the game log and attach it to a Support Ticket as a .txt file. This will very much help with the investigation.

Thanks again!

The QA team has only been able to reproduce this bug when the Pokemon in question has the Theta Stop Ancient Trait. The following bugs have been added to the known issues list:

Cards
  • Flareon (AOR #13): Pokemon with the Theta Stop Ancient Trait are incorrectly prevented from gaining the R type from the Flare Effect Ability.
  • Jolteon (AOR #26): Pokemon with the Theta Stop Ancient Trait are incorrectly prevented from gaining the L type from the Electric Effect Ability.
  • Vaporeon (AOR 22): Pokemon with the Theta Stop Ancient Trait are incorrectly prevented from gaining the W type from the Aqua Effect Ability.

If you are able to reproduce this using Pokemon that do not have the Theta Stop Ancient Trait, please create a ticket in the support portal and include a copy of the game log.
