Playing online without any booster packs?

First of all, let me apologize if this has been asked before, there are a ton of pages here and I cannot possibly search though them all to see if my question has already been asked-- if so, link me to answer!

<div>The cards in the free decks do not seem that bad, but one cannot formulate a very carefully planned deck with them as much as with boosters, so... I am thinking that going online may be useless until I am able to obtain boosters.</div>

But seriously, I think it's fun. Not as fun but I've won some with the basic deck.

I think as long as you got all the cards in the decks that are possible you can win some games. If you just go and play with the deck without getting new cards, then you will get beat. If you win more games in the trainer challenge with the decks you get more cards from the decks.

I've been currently playing with a deck I made out of the cards that are free to everyone. I'm actually doing pretty good with online battles too. Give it a try and see for yourself though.

There's a topic in the Deck Builder forum right now about making a deck with basic free cards. I gave a deck using just the starters a bit ago. I've had a lot of success with it before I started getting some boosters.

 

 

 

Give it a shot, edit it, have fun with it and maybe get some idea's for your own deck builds
