So I notice on some of my Pokemon cards there are some bow ties, gems, crystals and more on the left side of the picture, what do they symbolise? The number of items are different from 1 to 5.

They are part of the "Radiant" collection of Generations.

Radiant Collection cards, similar to its Shiny Collection equivalent, have a special coating and foil patterns; they have their own numbering (all numbers prefixed by RC) and rarity scheme.

The Radiant Collection/Pokekyun charms don't mean anything much, it kind of tells something as a story for the card.
Ribbon: Charming
Heart: Close Friends
Clover: Pure
Droplet: Sorrow
Star: Magnificent Battler
Book: Story

Like Charizard has a book and 3 hearts so you can tell that they are close friends and they have a story going on ( example: Charmander card)
