I downloaded the client on my Mac, and when I go to open it it says "this app has been downloaded from the internet are you sure you want to open it" I click open and the tcg logo at the bottom quickly appears and disappears and nothing happens, please help!

This has been happening for me as well as of two hours ago. I deleted and re-installed and the issue continues. I get a quick pop up of the game window (all black as it has yet to load), which disappears before even beginning to load.

Hello Gentlemen,

It would be very helpful to know what version Mac you are having this problem with and what OS version you are running. Ideally, you would visit pokemon.com/support and enter a Question that describes what is happening and includes those details. T

Thanks!

Searching through crash logs and things, this seems to be the issue.

Just bumping this in the hope of a quick fix. I have a tournament beginning that I will have to drop from if it's not hastily addressed which would suck :/

05/04/2016 00:28:06.188 Pokemon Trading Card Game Online[3789]: WARNING: The Gestalt selector gestaltSystemVersion is returning 10.9.2 instead of 10.10.2. Use NSProcessInfo's operatingSystemVersion property to get correct system version number

I did a little research on this thinking maybe it's something I could fix from my end, but it's not. The fix does seem very easy but it's on PTCG's end and not mine. Apple changed something between OS 9.9 and OS 10.0 that reads like the millennium bug that can only handle single digits. So the Client has gestaltSystemVersion to pull the OS version parameter but that no longer works once you go past OS 10. It reads it as one version previous. I haven't updated my OS this week or anything so I guess it was put in on PTCG's end in the latest patch? That would be a step backwards but hey, I don't know the ins and outs.

The game needs to be patched to use operatingSystemVersion to find the OS version instead. This level of programming is way over my head but best I can tell it should be a simple patch job and the game is unplayable for me until it is fixed. Won't even begin to load.

I managed to fix this by updating my whole OS from Yosemite to El Capitan.
