Will the game always be using preconstructed decks?

I was hoping the game would allow you to build your own custom decks, just like the old GBA game. You would beat opponents and unlock boosters or single cards. You could then use those to construct a custom deck. Is there any plans to do this in the future, and if so will it cost money?

Thanks

You have to pay money to buy the booster pack at a store. Once you buy it there will be code inside. You redeem the code on this site and it will grant you access to the deck builder and the ability to play other people. Hope this helps

Hi folks,

You can build your own decks right now in the Pokemon Trading Card Game Online with no purchase required. Just following the link down at the bottom for the page or go to www.pokemontcg.com/tcgo. There are also 3 free decks in the Trainer Challenge you can unlock for use in the TCG Online giving you a total of 4 free decks (Fire, Grass, Water & Lightning) which you can build your own deck with. Each physical theme deck (BW1 or BW2) contains a code for unlocking those cards too online.

I hope this helps! regular_smile.png

Thanks Prof_Warrax,

Out of curiosity do you guys have any intention on enabling players to purchase virtual booster packs to unlock additional cards not found in the preconsturcted fire/grass/water light decks? I dont mind paying real money everyonce and awhile for booster decks, but It would be a nice feature if you could use X amount of tokens to purchase a virtual booster deck.

Right now the only way to get new cards is buying them in real life and using the code on here. Some mods will tell you they have plans for the future, but nobody knows what that means. Im hopin they let you convert tokens into gems and buy them eventually.

I really kind of wish we could use booster tokens to buy older cards, for example from the fossil and junglke sets or any after that aswell. Of course I know you wouldn't be able to use them to play because they're illegal and out of date, but I'm sure we have a collector inside of all of us that would appreciate just collecting them, am I right?

Until that day comes though I'm pretty satisfied with the collection we are currently able to use. (Just please don't make HS out of date!!)

yeah

about that,

Ive already submitted a support tickect???

& its been a while but i have no news or doesnt seem in effect.

But i have deleted the 3 decks accidently, only because i didnt save it or something but i didnt expect it to be completely gone cos it doesnt even warn you that if not saved it will be completely unaccessible but instead it says you cannot play without a saved deck.

so therefore i'd thought to save it some time later & play then.

so is there any second chances or did i just blew it.

It says I have zero cards in my binder to build from.

when you start the game you have to open your electric starter deck. You cannot edit it since you have no cards to put in it. You can only edit it once you win the 3 other decks from the Trainer Challenge, even then, you cant trade any of the cards to get new ones. You just have to mix and match from those 4 decks. Some people were lucky enough to get a booster for some reason, but everyone else is stuck with those 4 decks to build with.

In your collection at the top there is a tab that says packs, go there and you will find any decks and booster packs you have unlocked waiting to be opened, once you open them the cards they contain will be added to your collection for deck building.

As for not being able to edit the basic yellow deck before unlocking the others, you can. Taking the dud cards out to replace with energy cards for example. Also, you are really you are complaining about having 4 theme decks to work with? I don't know what theme decks cost in the US but here that's $80 of value.

I opened the electric starter deck. I just completed the first complete ladder of the trainer challenge, but do not see the 3 other starter decks available. Do I have to complete the rest of the trainer ladders as well?

I suggest you do slightly edit your decks because they deck they give you will cause you to lose. and dont press the Finish button while in deck builder it will make it worst .
