[CARD] Fighting Fury Belt (BREAKpoint #99) - This card loses its effect on an Evolved Pokémon

When Fighting Fury Belt is used on Stage 1 pokemon and pokemon survives with extra health, evolving the pokemon kills it if the evolution does not have more natural health than damage counter. EX Froakie 12/39 with Fighting Fury Belt (60+40 Hp) has 80 Damage Counter then evolving into Frogadier 39/122 (70+40) faints immediately.

That's not a bug. Fighting Fury Belt says in its own effect description that it only works on Basic Pokémon. If the Basic evolves, it's no longer a Basic, so of course it'll lose FFB's effect.

And if a Pokémon's damage exceed its max HP under any circumstance, it will be Knocked Out right then and there. To provide another example, a Garchomp has 150 damage and survives with its 160 HP due to Training Center, but when Training Center goes away (by being replaced with another Stadium, most likely), Garchomp's max HP goes back down to 130, and its 150 damage instantly KOs it.

There is actually a bug where pokemon that evolve will randomly keep the +40 health upon evolution. Pretty sure it's a known bug though, so it should get fixed by the next patch.

But yes, as SharKing said this is how FFB is intended to work, it's not a bug.

Hey there!

This is intended, as Fighting Fury Belt only affects Basic Pokémon. GonzoMD1993, there is a known issue in which the HP increase appears visually, but in actuality the HP has not changed. The Dev team is working to resolve this. :)

I'll close this thread now. Thanks for your patience!
