I am really impressed with the new artwork Generations brings to the table.

 

1. Love love love the full art Flareon, Pikachu (hello?) and Mega Gardevoir. This last one being really interesting as it's not what we are used to in EX cards (c'mon two seductive female pokemon?)

2. The story told on Charmander - Charmeleon - Charizard with the little kid growing next to his pokemon, sublime

3. Really surprised to see the Slowpoke artwork from the Fossil expansion set!

 

4. I don't like Yveltal, too naive for what it represents. And why is there no Xerneas (or Moltres for that matter??)

5. The return of Imakuni... this card used to creep me when playing ptcg back on my GB

6. The colorful energy cards...... can't wait to get me some

On topic: I actually really like both the new Gardevoir EX and the new M Gardevoir EX, and I can't wait to get my hands on them.

 

Oh, and as much as I loved the katakana on the other Mega cards, I think the translated katakana was a nice touch in this reprint.

I love all the Eeveelution EXes.

Gardevoir EX is very cute.

Very indifferent about the starter EXes. They look generic.

Hate the Ninetales EX. It's so ugly.

Very happy to see a Golem EX and Meowstic EX, even though their art isn't particularly great.

 

Love the regular Golem art. He looks ******.

Great to see another cute Jirachi and Diancie card.

That Tauros card art is from the original set I just noticed, lol.

Awesome to see Imakumi and his creepiness return.

Love the new Energies.

 

Apart from a few disappointments (mostly Ninetales EX) and lazy reprints, it's a great set in my opinion.

I'm not too sure what you mean, these katakanas are still in japanese. Maybe you've seen the japanese version where the katakanas are in english?

Agree 100% And hard to distinguish Venusaur Ex generations from Venusaur Ex XY

Nvm you're right xd the version I saw was the japanese one which apparently uses english in the art of thd megas.

Imakuni is BACK !?!?!  I WANT IT NOOOOOOWWWW!!!! (I'm actually surprised to see someone know anything about the original tcg on Gameboy besides me! ^_____^

 

My Sylveon EX FA has like 4 charms on the top-left of it- does anyone know what it represents?

I believe you should be thanking the artists and PCL for hiring them. The devs really have nothing to do with making the actual cards, as their forté is the coding and digitizing of the media.

 

 

 

But really, thank whoever the **** you want. I'm just trying to give credit where credit is due.

They are nice looking cards, it's just a shame that they're some of the most pathetic EX cards a person could ever have.

I did just pull a Flareon EX FA from a pack, and on closer inspection, it doesn't seem like an entirely useless card, probably the best of the Eeveelution EXs, but still quite weak. I'm much more likely to use Flareon EX in a deck than Ninetales EX, that's for sure.

Jolteon-EX is also pretty decent against EX/Basic-heavy decks. And yes, Ninetales-EX is pretty bad.

I'm guessing crobat will be reprinted next set, with crobat break being confirmed. (Maybe a new crobat instead?)

I find it interesting that every pokemon with a charm thing on the left has a not-so-generic description.
