Dunno. My guess is that only expansions that are currently legal for standard are sold in the token shop.

 

You could probably still buy codes from the internet for B&W and HGSS packs. You can also trade your packs from recent expansion for older packs. From what I've seen B&W packs are pretty accessible but HGSS packs are really valuable.

 

You should also keep an eye out for promos. They sometimes include B&W packs (like with Meganium not so long ago).

The reason for this is because, like gonzo said, they only do the standard sets(XY base-BP) and You can get certain packs with codes. There are a few B&W codes out there, but not many, but EP-BP are pretty plentiful and the only others that are kinda hard to obtain are Dark Explorers and Plasma Freeze. You can find some harder to obtain packs in the shop though every once and a while, like B&W is in right now and a few weeks back we had Undaunted I believe it was.

not fair i just start play and i wanted some other expansion cards to collect now i can only buy the packs that is in the shop.will they return sometime to an older expansion or thats it, they do that and never back to other expansions?

so i cant have cards from umm like the ex sandstorm? i will never be able to take cards from this expansion?

Mudkip was reprinted as a promo that is worth about a pack and it was also reprinted in the Primal Clash set.

Nope, you can only get most cards that are HGSS-BP.

well it was an old mudkip card to an old expansion.then they reprint the mudkip card and add it to newer expansion pack.that i wanted to say is can i take all pokemon i mean at an old expansion is charmander now can i take charmander?

i think i waste your time guys with my bad english sorry and thanks for your help but last question. they were old cards like a charmander that they cant be used now cause they are old. so did they remove charmander and you cant take him now and you could only take him when it was that expansion or they just reprinted him and now you can take him at a newer expansion pack on the shop?

Charmander and its evolutions got reprinted in Black & White: Boundaries Crossed with a Secret Rare Charizard being printed in a later set. So you can get them in the game but they are only playable in Expanded and Unlimited.
