Magnetic Warp Floating Scizor?

Has anyone tried running the new Scizor-EX with float stone and Magnetic Warp Metagross?

Scizor's attack:

Gale Thrust (St)(St) 50+

If this Pokemon was on the bench and became your active Pokemon this turn, this attack does 60 more damage.

Does moving Scizor onto the bench and back to Active during your turn proc this extra damage? If so, Magnetic Warp Metagross seems useful for it. But you'd be granting your opponent free retreats every time you use it... Hmm...

Okay this idea doesn't seem that great any more. Is there a good way to use Scizor?

I just had a match with someone using M Scizor, Bronzong and Max Potion. Unfortunately I wasn't in my best shape to react and I don't know if my opponent was using Zoroark, but I think it would fit well in this kind of list (at least to make a fun deck).

Crazy idea but Yanmega (Phantom Forces) + Scizor grants extra damage in any case and can counter anti EX pokemon  :P

Completely forgot about this card but it looks interesting. With one muscle band it can OHKO Regice and Pyroar, plus that free retreat cost is neat. A shame I don't have any Scizor-EX or Yanmega yet because that would be nice to test.

Take a look at breakthrough Dodrio.

Ability: As long as this Pokémon is on your Bench, your Active Pokémon's Retreat Cost is * * less.

With 90 HP, you can level ball this to the bench (turn after Doduo). Now your Yanmega and Scizor-EX can freely swap.

Yanmega is a little slow, but has the added benefit of refreshing your hand if you're not feeling pressure. Keep some Switches in the deck just in case you get Clutched (or otherwise unable to retreat).

I personally feel that zoroark+ stone is a better card than dodrio because:

1. zoroark's rush in allows you to bypass sleep/remove other status conditions

2. zoroark can be used to bring pokemon to the bench and then thrusting it back out (meaning if you had only a scizor left and you needed the damage, you could do it. also if you had a bronzing line, you could set up and move it up front)

3. passive bench restriction

I have beaten m-ray decks - albeit poorly handled ones- with zoroark ALONE! even if your opponent does ohko scizor, it usually leaves him vulnerable for a counterattack ko (with or sometimes without lysandre)

4. more usable attack- it can load up very easily for its attack

Zoroark

someone beat me to it.

but yea zoroark and a float stone. only you need to retreat. i use him for my mega mewtwo deck. it is helpful specially when you need it for that. but be warned. zoroark will be targeted before the ex. you may say thats good not really in your case. mine wasnt' either.

but zoroark would be your best bet or a switch item card (if not locked)
