Shoulder Pokemon

Hey, here's something for those who would like to bring something back from the past, but, with each generation of Pokémon becoming more advanced then the last, and while still waiting for a new Pokémon console game, especially a modern version of Colosseum, so here is what I got you to think about.  If say, down the road, in one of the new Pokémon games, they tried again with the whole pokemon following behind you bit, like on Yellow and HGSS, but takes it to another level where if the pokemon is the right size, that it could ride on your character's shoulder, just like how Pikachu rides on Ash's shoulder most of the series.  On Yellow, it's understandable why they couldn't, even though it's a game based off the anime, and on the GBC, very few options.  On HGSS, while a major upgrade from Yellow, the only flaw in that was that you don't really get to choose which one, since it's always the first pokemon on the top left, and seeing pokemon that are suppose to be huge, but shrunk down to small size, like Wailord or Onix, makes it seem a bit awkward.  So my question is, if they were to include the option of letting a pokemon follow you out of it's pokeball, and, size pending of course, hitch a ride on your game character, which one would you like to see hitching a ride on the protagonist?

For me, while I wouldn't mind Mew, although getting one can be a bit of a pain, but wouldn't mind seeing Pikachu, along with say Pichu, Zorua, Eevee, and quite a bit more, along with a possible flyer, like Pidgey or Taillow.

I would like to see Zorua, Fennekin, Swablu, or Sandshrew riding on my protagonist's shoulder (until they evolve, of course), if this kind of thing was included in a future game. Really cool idea!
