Can I straight draw a Stage 2 Pkm from my deck?

Just wondering if this is possible? Rare Candy only works I guess if the stage 2 is in your hand, and Evosoda needs a Stage 1 as does Wally? Is it possible perhaps with Acro Bike (luck) and/or Computer Search if I have a 4-0-4 line and Rare Candy?

Thanks

If what you're trying to ask is if a 4-0-4 line is viable, it is. The only thing that destroys it are item locks, which is the reason I presume people prefer running a 4-1-4 line.

I run a 4-0-4 Garchomp deck and it works decently well, although that's greatly helped by Korrina finding me the Stage 2 and the Rare Candy in a single move.

Thanks. Was just wondering if you can do it with say Metal or Psychic where there is no specific card (like Archie, Maxie or Korrina). Or pull a Haxorus out on a 4-0-4, say? Without having said Stage 2 in my hand. Only way I can think is using Computer Search and not sure ******* Bike does it?

Cheers

What I've seen some stage 2 decks do (like haxorus or typhlosion) is rely on Skyla. She only does half of the job, but it's better than nothing. Computer Search is a good item, but being an ace spec you can only use it once unless you Puzzle of Time it back to your hand.

Teamates gets you both cards, but it comes with a blood price. I believe that robo subs also activate Teamates, so you could try to make them take the bait, though making that work is situational.

EDIT: NIño, those cards would be Archie and Maxie. Those cards only work on cards that are water and fighting type (respectively) however, which is why our friend here is looking for a reasonable alternative.

NO MAN

The card I'm talking about is Cradily, it lets you put stage 2 pokemon in play straight from your deck

God I'm laughing now

I've seen people use Skyla to get the Rare Candy and Ultra Ball to get the Stage 2. That could work. Though depending on which Stage 2 it is, you might not necessarily need to use an Ultra Ball, which requires you to discard 2 cards. You might be able to do it with a Heavy Ball, Dive Ball, or even a Repeat Ball -- again, depending on what it is. In Expanded there's also Pokemon Communication.

Don't worry too much if you can't make it work in your deck, it's possible with a combination of Evosoda (or one of the various Balls) and Wally to get your Stage 2 in play on the second turn even without Rare Candy. If you're in this situation, with your stage 1 in play on the second turn (and you put it there on the first turn), and Evosoda/ball and Wally in your hand, just make sure to use the Evosoda/ball first.

Cradily looks interesting, thanks guys! Shame it's stage 1 and grass but I might test to see if I can get any speed out of it.

Biggest issue with Cradily: it is restored which makes your deck go around that as you need Root Fossil and Lileep on your discard pile. Then evolve to Cradily and add as many energies as pokemon you want. Then add energy to those pokemon. By the time you are set your opponent is launching fireballs at you and the game is over.

Fun to play tho! I mixed it with Flygon + Dusknoir for mass damage or Serperior + Reuniclus for immortal healing.

It's all about the balls, bro.

Pokeballs, Greatballs, Ultraballs, Diveballs, Heavyballs, Repeatballs.

Also if you have an Evosoda and a Wally in your hand at the same time, use them in order to evolve a Basic into a Stage 2 in one turn. It's very useful for Typhlosion decks when you don't get a Rare Candy or Stage 2 in hand.

To straight draw a stage 2 depending on situation or pokémon:

- ultra ball (let's you get any pokémon)

- master ball (let's you get any pokémon)

- computer search (let's you get any card)

- pokémon communication (let's you get any pokémon)

- heavy ball (let's you get 3/4/5 retreat cost energy pokémon)

- repeat ball (let's you get any repeated pokémon)

- dive ball (let's you get any water pokémon)

- evosoda (let's you evolve any pokémon)

- wally (let's you evolve twice per turn)

- korrina (let's you get any fighting pokémon)

- winona (let's you get any colorless pokémon)

- trevor (let's you get any pokémon)

- durant (attack: let's you get any pokémon)

As far as i concern, i run a Gengar Ex expanded deck with Gardevoir Psychic Mirage combo and DV to attack with one energy, and i'm currently using 3-1-3 Gardevoir and 3 or maybe 4 rare candy with 4 ultra ball and 2 skyla, and it works perfectly fine.
