Packs from Trainer Challenge tradeable

Hi all,

 

I wonder if the packs you get from Trainer Challenge are tradeable.

 

I have gotten some so far and also opended many but did not check if they were tradeable. Now all I got are not tradeable and so I would like to know which packs are tradeable?

No they're not, the packs you get from the trainer challenge or buy from the shop using tokens are UNTRADEABLE as are the packs you get from the ladder, daily login and daily challenge,

The only way we can get tradeable packs is via trading, From real life codes found in boosters, winning matches in PTCGO and tournaments

Well I did mention the way to get Tradeable packs / cards !

You can't create a big collection in the first few days, it takes time especially if you can't afford to buy booster codes like many players, Be patient, enjoy the game and learn a lot about trading, and your collection will slowly but surely fill itself !

A few things you should keep in mind:

 

-[Eddited out erroneous information to avoid further confusions. Cards from theme decks purchased with tokens are in fact trade locked.]

 

-The game probably expects you to eventually start playing tournaments and earn tradeable booster packs that way.

yup but wouldn't be able to copy it tho and make a deck. i did that with gengar. now i can't use the theme unless its a theme. i hated gengar. its move was weak.

the reason you couldn't use it is because you didn't have any cards, and it wasn't published as a playable deck.

it was the night striker deck. i can play the theme one. but it doesn't allow a copy made of it. u would have to either replace the one taken out with the same one or another pokemon.

 

but i couldnt use gengar move cause it needed 30 dmg done already to pokemons

Dude, Laser/Bank and Bats were born to partner with Gengar.

I now bought the theme deck Dark Hammer.

 

Unfortunately, I still can not trade any of the cards in the deck!?

if you bought it in the shop with your tokens, it is trade locked. If you redeemed it from a code, then that is an error.

-All the cards you obtain from buyin Theme Decks are tradable (this is an exception to the trend of token items being tradelocked). These contain a lot of good cards that you can either use yourself or trade for other good cards.

That should be the case. Theme Deck cards are tradable. Did you open the deck though? You need to go to your collection and open the deck the same way you would open a pack.

 

EDIT: Either that, or they made a ninja patch to lock theme deck cards while I was gone. So far, every time I've bought a theme deck with tokens, those cards have all been tradable.

If your theme deck cards were tradable, that was definitely a bug. Nothing in the shop (except the Pikachu-EX avatar boxes) are tradable. I don't know what is going on with the shop right now, it seems kinda shaky. Anyway, all theme decks I bought were non tradable.

I think the only tradeable decks are the ones redeemed from codes. I have the physical versions of Enchanted Echo, Mystic Typhoon and Brilliant Thunder and their cards are all trade-unlocked in PTCGO, unlike anything I have ever bought from the virtual shop.

unfortunately the only tradeable items you can get from store are pika boxes- which are not exactly worth much..

 

however due to the problems faced by you due to the misleading advice of gonzo here, I wouldn't mind giving you three packs to start off (of course you still need to get something to trade for them- you can go to the shop and buy a Pikachu collection avatar box after friending me )

I haven't seen a theme deck give a tradeable card since I got a tradeable enchanted echo deck way before they locked theme deck trading

That's really Awesome

 

Also, the theme deck you bought was a good choice anyway as it is quite competitive and will allow you to win a bunch of tournaments and thus, tradable packs.

 

You can also do the trainer's challenge which will give you the basic theme decks (blue, green etc.) which I think aren't tradable either but will also help you win many theme deck games.

Im really sorry dude xd I swear to god when I opened Dark Hammer (the last theme deck I got with tokens) all the cards I got were tradable. The last time I checked I didn't have any tradelocked Landorous or Machamp so the cards I got from DH must have been tradable. Maybe it was a strange bug. Again, my deepest apologies for any inconveniences I might have caused.

 

Right now I'm away from town but when I return this saturday send me a friend request. I'll give you 3 BP packs as compensation. It was my mistake and it's up to me to clear my mess up. Just have 1 pikachu box tagged for trade so I can give them to you.
